SOLI'S SHORTSIDE

- The Blackhawks come into tonight the best team in the NHL with 27 points. Not exactly a team that the doctor ordered to cure us of our own woes, but the Oilers need to get out of this tailspin and back into the win column... or at very least the overtime loss column.

- In regards to the Oilers lineup, the 4th line could feature any of Lander, Eager, Belanger, Petrell or even Hordichuk. I'm assuming the two OKC recruits will play on the 3rd pairing, and I'm guessing Dubnyk gets the start. To be updated as more information becomes available.
EDIT: Apparently Khabibulin will start. Petrell a healthy scratch, 4th line is Lander - Belanger - Eager

- The Blackhawks are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights after losing to Calgary yesterday. I'm assuming Emery will get the start as Crawford played yesterday and on Thursday. Seabrook is out of the lineup after he injured himself against the Oilers less than 6 days ago.

Chicago is on a back-to-back. Had a rough night in Calgary tonight, hopefully they catch a flu on the way from Calgary. THEN we got a chance! GO OILERS. GO FLU.

Yeah, this is a really blessed time to face the Hawks for the Oilers (on a back to back, Seabrook injured). Chicago was on pace to win the game against Calgary early on, but Crawford was just having an off night.

Loving those lines up front. Eager should stay out so that we can use Lander on special teams.

That 3rd defensive pairing is scary... and that's not a completement.

I am finally able to catch this game. I don't want to set any expectations. I think we will either get demolished or win a very tight game, 1-0 or 2-1.

I'm going to say Chorney and Teubert do better than Peckham and Petry.

I also think we lose bad. Here's to hoping we win tho.

We're probably going to get beat, the Hawks are a damn good team. I just hope Ray Emery craps the bed and we can finally show some real offense. There has to be some intensity tonight, if the guys don't give it everything they got I'll be pretty disappointed.

This is gonna be a tough one. Hopefully our defense can play above their heads in this one. I don't like our chances to win, but you never know....Chicago's playing for the 2nd night in a row on the road.
Go Oil.
