Stoll hasn't been terrible. But, he also hasn't done much to help either. His wingers aren't as good, obviously. I think he has been fine defensively. I'm not sticking up for him either. I'm just saying what I'm seeing and I think it's a fair opinion. It is no secret that the Kings need more help from their bottom lines. But, when you have Cliffy and Moreau on your wings...you shouldn't expect much to happen.

This game really just points out that we aren't ready just yet to compete with the elite teams for the cup. This is a weak (in comparison) Wings team and we got schooled.

Mr Murray, what do you have to say for yourself and why in the entire blanking world should we have any confidence in you and or your ability to take us to a cup? We have the horses but I can't see where we have the coaching to get us past the first round let alone the cup.

This game is YOUR loss coach. Our team has to be better prepared than it was today. We have the talent, we are beating most of the teams that we *should* be beating but when it comes to the teams that we are supposed to be as good as or better than we fail and I am talking end of the movie *the mist* fail.

Time for you to either step up or step off Murray and don't you dare blame anyone other than yourself.

Yup. This is all I ask RH63 to admit.

I don't understand the staunch defense of Stoll. He hasn't been that good.

Of course not a coaching issue, it's more statistical deviation in my opinion. Detroit won 31-27, nothing special.

The biggest problem I have with the Kings ATM, is that no one outside of Fraser consistently finishes their check. And someone give Kyle Clifford a talking to, he needs to get in there, throw the body and play his game. I'm not sure if his playoff scoring got to his head but this season he seems to be out of it. The Kings need a pest. If that means they have to trade for a guy like Clarkson or if they need to call up Clune or Nolan to jumpstart the bottom 6, so be it.

He hasn't been good whatsoever. But, I don't think he has been awful. Unless you're talking about his offense. Then ya, it's completely invisible.

I don't even Blame Murray anymore.

I mean Really what is Murray suppose to do. You have to match Kopi Or Richards with Every teams top lines. Cause the Bottom Six is just awful.

They don't even apply Pressure to the other teams Checking lines. Untill DEAN LOMBARDI Fixes that. Murray gets a PAss in my book. Cause that Bottom Six is devoid of life save maybe two Guys.

Ughhh Letting Zus walk is just killing me.

Lol. Believe it or not, I have been more critical of Stoll this year than years in the past.

Like I said, let's give Stoll some linemates not named Moreau and Clifford and see what happens.

Are you prepared for all of the backslapping and high-fiving when HF announces that the Kings are a Top 10 franchise in a couple of days?

Today was an obvious step backward in the effort department but the one thing many of you fail to mention is that the Kings have poor EXECUTION in these games that we lose. The Kings need to start finishing their scoring chances. We can grind out a few ugly goals every now and then but right now the Kings couldn't bury their mothers corpse even if it was rotting away on the front lawn with a shovel next to it.

We learned today that it isn't hard to beat the Kings when the only person who shows up is Richards. ****ing************ing****. I hate the ****ing redwings.

This team needs a new coach. soon.

This is pathetic. 2 5v5 goals in the last 3 games. If this team could worry a little more about offense and remember to play a 60 minute game, they would probably be the best team in the league right now.

Anyone else think it's annoying how the Kings follow up two **** periods with another terrible period. There is no comeback in this team. They either get ahead and hopefully stay ahead or lose.

Clearly the only prospects the Kings have play in Manchester....or that the 2 best aren't currently in LA...but yea keep on thinking that.

As for the "clearly the Kings can't compete with the best cause of today people" you do realize Detroit just got their ass handed to them by SJ 2 nites ago? Clearly they can't compete either, and Chicago got their ass handed to them last nite by Calgary? Clearly they can't compete with anybody.....

And Vancouver. And Boston. And... Damn, this league is just 30 losers! I was thinking what would pessimists find to ***** about when Kings finally get the Cup and here it is : the cup is worthless because other 29 teams were so bad.

Dustin "Killer" Brown.

Play Killer that is...

Missed direct passes to Stoll and Williams in the slot, totally over thought that open shot in the slot in the 3rd and screws it up, and can't even see Richard behind the net so he passes it back to the blue line and it gets clears out.

The dude does well with the physical game and can bring a hard shot...

but he flat out KILLS plays on offense.

Dustin the Play Killer Brown - should be on the 3rd line and hardly ever on the ice for PP's IMO.

End.

Yeah, I don't see why he is put on the PP. I mean, he usually does his job well. He is a key part of this team. But he certainly shouldn't be a PP guy. I know he's the captain and does a lot of extra curricular stuff for the team, but come on already. It's getting ridiculous.

Agree he was tentative at times, but disagree that he's not ready. The team needs to invest in NHL experience for the kid. You can't expect every rookie to come bustin down the door every single game. Even this game, he wasn't that bad. Better than Parse at least.

The team has no choice really now anyway. A great time for him to get experience. He will get his bounces soon.

Tough game today. I never got the feeling the Kings were in it today. The fact they gave up the goal so quickly after Richards scored worried me.

The team was just off in all facets of the game. The forecheck wasn't working because they were getting too spaced out and Detroit was able to just breeze their way out of the zone. They weren't winning many battles for pucks along the boards. They weren't able to connect multiple passes in a row (besides their D-to-D on the regroup, which drives me nuts sometimes...but I digress) very often.

I can't say I'm a big Murray fan, but the players just didn't look like they had it out there today. Everything was just off. Gotta give the Wings credit because they played an almost flawless game.

I just want to forget this one and move onto Tuesday.

Red Wings "fans" are pretty obnoxious (not Canucks' fans level, but up there), and they were acting like their team has never lost a game before. It sucks the Kings play in a market that is comprised of people from such diverse parts of the country, because it makes for some pretty bad attendance ratios when teams with big bandwagons come to town. The split between Kings fans and Wings "fans" was not pretty today.
