id give up a 2nd and one of Prince, Noesen, or Puempl - whichever all of you agree is the least of them to take a shot at Turris.
although please bear in mind while having said that the last time i saw Turris play it was at the WJC.
And how was he at the WJC? I would do this deal as well a 2nd & Prince for Turris but of course it will depend where Ottawa ends up in the standings. As most predict Ottawa will be a lottery pick than a 2nd could be just outside the 1st rd. If Ottawa continues to exceed expectations & make the playoffs then a 2nd might not be worth it to Phoenix & they will still want our 1st rd pick. Should be interesting to see what Murray is willing to give up for Turris if we ever find out.
I'd trade Prince because I want Puempel - Turris - Noesen to play on the same line.
He won't make it here on re-entry, there are teams like Columbus that woud probably snatch him up. Clearly a guy who needs a change of scenery, I don't think he turned into a pupmkin overnight...
I'm with you. If the Sens want him cap space is not an issue they have to try to get him on the way down but he may not fall to us anyway. Too bad they don't reveal all the teams who put in an offer when a guy is picked up on waivers. It would be interesting to see how popular another team's discard might be.
Plays right wing... too bad he's not a centre or leftie
Age is fine. Will be 26 in Feb
6'01" 205 lbs
Decent goal scorer on the rise last 2 seasons 17, 24 but this year not at 0 goals
+- not so good but bad team -11 already and -17 last year.
Certainly worth more than a passing thought
I'd pick up Comeau,
He can play all forwards position actually. He's aggressive (when he wants to be) and is a good skater.
This would also allow us to send Da Costa down to the AHL so KK can work on him.
He's been really struggling of late imo, and definitely needs to build his confidence in the AHL
What are you talking about? Daugavins is a 3rd liner AT best, and not the kind that will ever produce. I doubt he ever scores over 30 points.
Lee + Daugavins + O'Brien is a decent package but I don't see how it is possible that the Yotes settle for less for Turris...
But I don't think it would happen anyway, unless the Yotes really like Brian Lee. They won't settle for a 3rd pairing D-man and 2 bottom-6 forwards (because if they have scouted the Sens and Bingo they'd know that this is Daugavins and O'Brien highest ceiling)
The thing is hopefully we can sell potential for those 3, that they could become better players than they actually are.
So keep your insults for yourself, it'd make more sense.
So you're telling me that Filatov wasn't really trying while Turris was actually trying? If that's all Turris can do if trying, I don't see the point in giving up valuable assets to get him...
I didn't say both situations were similar but is the difference in potential/risk that huge that Filatov is only worth a 3rd while Turris is worth a 1st + a quality prospect.
Would you give a 1st and Silfverberg/Puempel/Noesen/Da Costa for Turris?
If Murray does that, he better hide from me.
I'm not saying he would settle for less or that daugs is a high point producer I'm saying that your offer is beyond crap and daugs is a good hockey player.
Daugs may not be a high point guy but IMO he's showing to be a piece of the puzzle. He will be great here in the bottom 6 and I think he'll be here for a long time. He deserves it.
Based on their defining quality, they aren't all that different, but I never said they were the same...just similar upsides as goal scoring forwards. Both score from range and in tight. Both are scorers. And I'd say the upsides are comparable. You're nitpicking. I wonder why...
Are you bitter you called me a homer and then looked foolish trying to prove it?
