2004-2005 Flyers Junior and European Prospect Update Thread

aka the official Charlie Girl Thread

I think this thread will be useful a la last season for potential game-by-game updates as needed.

Anyone who has links to any junior teams radio links can also post them here, I'm not too excited about watching the Sixers in event of a lockout.

Ruzicka looks out of shape and uninspirational in training camp and exhibitions. Will not be on the top line any longer if it keeps up. Still a nice shot though.

I went down to Kitchener to catch a glimpse of Richards, in a 7-2 Kitchener win, but ran into a couple friends and was distracted. Will be taking more trips to Kitchener and wherever the Greyhounds are on the road close to where I live.

He better not become the 2nd coming of Korovkin.

He's been really unimpressive, and looks to be carrying some extra weight.

I heard Rosey had put on some muscle mass (now weighs 205 according to Attackhockey.com?) and despite a slow start is still racking up points in exhibition play. He just had two goals and an assist against St. Mike's. But I haven't actually seen him in person yet so I'm just going by the opinion of others. It seems they conflict with yours, but thats the beauty of opinions, everyone gets their own.

He had a PP goal against St.Mikes, on a wrist shot from the halfboards, and was set up beautifully by Rchardson for the other. He seems to be developing some chemistry with Brad but looks less explosive than last year. He's still REALLY feisty though.

I like that!

Kitchener Rangers games are broadcast online at www.570news.com
Don Cameron has been around junior hockey forever and is very knowledgeable. Gary Doyle is an idiot.... disregard most of what you hear from him.

The OHL season finally started last night!

Richards - 1A, 4 PIM
Carter - 0 points, 4 PIM
Ruzicka - 0 points
Pisellini - 0 points, 9 PIM
(am I missing anyone?)

Also, I heard that Cabana from Halifax was knocked out during last night's game on a dirty hit - does anyone have more detail?

Took in Owen Sound's home opener tonight.

Anyway, Owen Sound won 5-2, Jonathun Lehun(STL) with 2, Andrej Sekera(BUF) with 2 and Bobby Ryan with one.

Ryan was brilliant, and if Richardson had put some of his chances away, Bobby would have finished with 2-3 more points. He scored a sick goal that brought me to my feet aswell.

Ruzicka did not score, but made Owen Sound's first goal with time running out in the 1st. Jarrett won the faceoff back to Rosie who skated into the slot and his shot was saved and Sekera banged in the rebound. Rosie wanted to fight several times and was held back by teammates. He always plays with a chip on his shoulder, and it was a cheap shot on him that led to a 5 on 5 brawl in the 3rd.

A) Pisellini and the Whalers did not play tonight.

B) In the fight that he DID have LAST night with Chris Bain (one of the top fighters in the league), it was a hug fest. He did not get beat up.

I know you hate the guy, but stop MAKING THINGS UP. I can't trust any of your reports, because most of it is just ******** that you've made up.

Sorry, he got beat up last night ....I was listening to the game on the net and it sure sounded like he got killed. and most people would rate Pisellini as a better fighter than Bain, so that's not an excuse, but you wouldn't know that so.....

and I don't hate the guy, i just hate the fact we wasted a pick on him.

Richards just pounded Perry, I don't even think Perry landed a punch. The fight lasted about 15 seconds and Richards was just connecting at will with very strong right hands, uppercuts, you name it. Both got the lids off early so all these shots from Richards were landing square.

One of the biggest a$$ whoopins I've seen in a long time, and it just couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I DO know where most people woudl rate Pisellini and Bain, I was simply stating that it was against good competition. The fight was a crap, hugfest fight from everything reported. No one got beat up, but you continue to post ******** posts that are untrue. Stop making things up. If you are goign to post lies, keep them to yourself.
