You typed Fleetwood Mac and now th future is depressing, redundant and aside from Stevie Nix, outright unappetizing.
Now what if 2/3 are mismanaged and underwhelming, following the great Islander tradition of Bailey, Okposo, Chyzowski, Nilsson, DP, Norton, Scissions, Chynoweth, Chevayeldov....I could go on?
What strong character guys are we going to have to teach them how to win?
"mismanaged" as in "rushed" (aka "Baileyed")? Yakupov is supposed to be NHL-ready, Kabanov would be playing after a year in AHL (so far he is really impressing in the Q), Petrov has to be put almost immediately into the NHL or he will stay in Russia, Ullström has been developing in the AHL for a while now, and de Haan, Mayfield, and Pedan will have at least one, maybe 2 years of AHL experience by the fall of 2013
Character guys = Streit, Tavares, and Carle (or maybe even Weber... I can dream, can't I?)
I'll dream with you, but been down this road before. That said, Yaqkupov means our odds of fielding a quality line 1&2 go up with all the promising prospects, even if 10% pan out and the rest are Baileys.
