Weber and Suter

Perhaps the most impressive stat this year is Shea Weber's +19 and Suter's +15. We hear often that the plus/minus stat shouldn't be really considered when talking about how defenseman play but that combined +34 is so much more impressive when you notice the next highest plus players in Nashville are Legwand and Wilson with +5 and 4. Team average is around +1.

Can Nashville afford to even lose one of them at this point and time?
Don't remember the last pairing that had such a dominate +/- when compared to most of their teamates.

I would easily put this pairing as being in the top-3 in the league. Both big, shut down D-men.

Only one that compares to me is Seabrook and Keith

If they can keep both, amazing, and with out an internal cap they can afford to bring in some offensive punch in the top 6.

But I'm not sure what their internal cap is.

Yea, definitely the best duo in the league IMO. If Nashville can get these two locked up, and add a couple top6 forwards, they are a lock for a cup in the next 5 years.

Seabrook and Keith were awesome but Keith is playing with Nick Leddy this year. That leaves Weber and Suter as the undisputed top pairing in the league right now.

Last year Sauer was a +20 and McDonagh a +16 for the Rangers. McDonagh only played 40 games, though.

Our owners said that we will be a salary cap team in the future.

They're both 7+ million dollar d-men come summer time. Can they keep them both? Probably. Should they? I don't think so.

That's awesome for Southern hockey. Did they give a timeline or was it kind of open ended?

Tampa should try to get Suter... we could really use him in our bad defense

It's getting a bit frustrating watching this pair dominate without an offense to back them up.

When it hurts your offense to lose Marcel Goc you know something needs to be changed.

These two would be amazing even more incredible on a team that scored 3 GPG.

Suter must follow in his uncle's footsteps and become a Shark.

Naturally Webber would want to follow.

They play a superb super tight system with an excellent goalie, fwds backcheck so it's not really a surprise they are the best shutdown tandem in the NHL the past 2 years.

They are hands down the best pairing in the league, AINEC. Extremely Physical, can both put up 40+pts, elite defensively, both have heavy point shots, etc. Weber is going to sign for 7mx5, and suter will sign for 6.5mx5. Then Radulov will come, and sign for 6mx5. #boom

I don't think Suter will be quite that expensive, nor Weber that cheap.

I'd take them over any other pairing in the league.

Radulov would have to finish out his ELC first.

Oh, Suter will get paid-especially on the open market. He deserves every bit of coin as Weber and if the Preds don't pay it someone will.

Yes. And even then, he isn't worth $6 million per year.

Keith and Seabrook were playing together when Seabrook went down.
