I'm curious as to what the attendance is of the NJ-Habs game.
Putting that arena in Newark was a horrendous idea
You have no idea...
The arena is gorgeous, but the fact that you have to go into the heart of ****ing Newark makes going to games a LOT less appealing. Add to that the parking is like $40 and the ticket prices are ridiculous, it's easy to see why people don't go. The only other option is to take the train up to Newark and walk a few blocks to the stadium. Yeah, take NJ public transit into Newark and walk the three blocks to the stadium at night, especially during the winter, that's downright idiotic.

$$
gotta laugh at some devils fans who argued that it was a great place to put the hockey arena
honestly, its easier to get to newark from manhattan than it is to get to consol from gibsonia/monroeville/robinson/whatever other suburb
??
how many devils fan live in manhatten?
thats the only plus of the arena's location. being able to take the train to the games.
the train stops at a lot of other towns too. more fan friendly/hockey friendly areas

admittedly, probably a number rapidly approaching zero. however, a decent portion of their fanbase commutes from nyc and takes the train home.
Giroux took a knee to the head from Simmonds tonight.
Quote:
Giroux stretched and fell to his knees trying to poke the puck away from Tampa's Ryan Shannon in the neutral zone with 2:08 left in the second. As Giroux went down, Simmonds was charging from behind and tried to leap over Giroux. But Simmonds didn't quite clear him, and his knee appeared to catch Giroux in the right side of the head.

I was always curious as to why they didn't put the team in north-central Jersey, rather than 20 mins from MSG
Love to know where the outrage is over Andy Sutton that was directed towards Matt Cooke.
I watched HNIC aftershow last week where they were with Sutton. Lol, he was asked how he's going to deal with the way the NHL is calling the game today. Basically said he's going to keep playing the way he always has. Guy's a moron if he didn't see this coming.
It's beyond me with his suspension history that he didn't get 15-20 games. He's been doing that **** for a long time.

I think "outrage" is simply exhausted. It ran a marathon and a half after Malkin ATTEMPTED to decapitate Claude Giroux. Outrage is going to need time to recover.
