You know what really grinds my gears?

The fact that there's few if any Marlies games on LeafsTV.

Instead, we get to watch repeated Leafs games over, and over, and over again.

For $5 a month I think they can do a lot better.

that's probably because they want you to go down to Ricoh and start attending games. If you can get your fill of Leafs prospects on Tv why would you ever attend a game?

I don't live in Calgary lol

But I live 3 hours from Ricoh

Certainly far enough so that I'm not gonna make a trip their to see the marlies. If I'm gonna spend that much on gas I'm gonna go watch the Leafs.

Not really bothered by it. I doubt I would watch them if they were on free tv.

i dont have leafs tv but i wouldn't mind seeing more marlies games on tv in gerneral. Couple good players down there, could be something the score could try n get and get into the hockey game like tsn and sportsnet imo.

This is a very true topic. I have been thinking of getting rid of Leafs t.v. and just streaming the rare games that are on it, online. They deffiantly should sign a t.v. contract to play the marlies, it is a smart thing to do...more money in MLSE's pocket

Is it possible that it's an AHL thing and not a Leafs TV issue? If you go on the AHL website you can pay to watch the games, but who's going to pay if they can watch it on Leafs TV?

I've posted about this before as well. I know it doesn't bug many people, but barely anyone follows the Marlies around here any way. This is a Leafs town.

You can watch a few more games on the Rogers channel (I think it is channel 10 on Rogers cable).

To think about how horrible the content is on LeafsTV, yet they can't even manage to televise Marlies games when no one else is... just pisses me off. Imagine if this billion dollar organization had to drive a truck to a Marlies game to get their fans coverage.

I doubt it, LeafsTV has been failing at this for 10 years now. I could be wrong, but I don't remember the AHL website providing streaming that far back.

Is that what your detailed research of ratings and resulting advertising revenue told you?

Leafs TV isn't worth the money, if you can grab it in a package, sure.

Don't get me wrong I agree with the sentiment. I just thought that could be an explanation.

If you live in the area you can get with LeafsTV every game they play including rookie tournament and preseason, zero fans around the league can say that.

I suspect the most likely explanation for why Leafs TV does not broadcast more Marlies games is that they simply don't generate enough advertising revenue to justify the cost of the broadcast. And while I'm sure MLSE is willing to lose a certain amount of money to promote the Marlies, they are probably not willing to lose enough to broadcast all the games.

There are too-often nights where the Leafs aren't playing and the Marlies are, but the game is not televised, only on the radio sometimes.

Don't worry your not missing much. I loath game days on Leafs tv. Awful broadcast. I would watch more Marlie games if I could, not really interested in paying to watch it live though.

Leafs tv actually used to be decent-good overall, but it seemed they didn't want to spend any money on it and dismantled it.

I hate how they still show old programs from 2003 and haven't bothered adding much to the lineup at all.
