OT: Getting scores Texted to you automatically

Hi all, thought I'd share.

If you can't follow the B's on TV, or on-line, your out and about,
but don't have an internet phone, I just signed up with

alerts.4info.com

to receive free texts of Bruins games.
Some options to choose from too in regard to when they will
text you.

It states it's free, each txt comes with a small add.
Thought I'd give it a try.

Let me know if anyone uses it.
I'll be driving to VA during the Sabres game, and this way
they'll keep me up to date on the scores.

Ive been using sports alert for a couple of years to get updates when im at work or in class

I wouldnt recommend sports alert, sometimes the texts come like 3 hours late, sometimes they show up on time.

Just my bit of insight

If you have a smartphone and download "The Score Mobile" you can set alerts to whatever you want. Goals, game start, endtime, after period scores. They are usually a minute after the goal.

I like the ESPN ScoreCenter app. You can check all scores, and also sign up for "your teams". You get a notification when there's a scoring play in those games, and if you have your volume on, you get the lovely SportsCenter "do-do-do. do-do-do" sound to let you know. Came in handy last night with both the Pats and the B's playing.
