Bauer APX vs Easton RS

I've decited to treat myself to a new stick for Christmas, and because I'm so I nice, I would like to get a good one. Witch stick is better at what? what are the Pros and Cons of each?

I got the APX. I really like it. (Coming from the TotalOne) My wrist/snap shot feels more powerful. The stick feels really solid. Blade feels really solid catching/passing pucks. Feel is good as well. Overall really good stick.

I wanted the RS because of its sweet design and lightweight, but the people at the store told me to absolutely not buy an RS. They break way to easily because of the really strong low kick. The blade splits within a few uses. Now...this is not a problem for pro's or if you have the money to go through stick after stick....but for most it is.

APX is awesome. Easton reps had nothing in my flex so I haven't shot with it, but just comparing the tangible feel of the APX vs. the RS, I'm glad Bauer had a 77 flex apx for me to try. I give it a recommendation for sure.

APX is likely the best stick i have ever used.

The RS is a warranty waiting to happen.

I'm gonna copypaste my post from a poll asking the same question, I bought an APX a couple weeks ago:

Yea I've heard that the RS breaks very easily and even if it doesn't snap in half, the blade starts to chip off piece by piece. Alot of NHLers use the RS but I guess they have the luxury of not having to buy sticks. Also, when holding the stick it felt very blade heavy. So aside from durability issues its a sick piece of equipment.

On the other hand the APX is by far the lightest stick I've ever held, my buddy bought it and let me mess around with it at a shinny game and it feels the puck very well, its supposed to have two kick points one in the middle one down low for clappers and snapshots/wrist shots respectively, and I noticed a lot more speed on my shots. According to what I've read and the testaments of my friends its quite durable and can take some vicious slashes with no paint loss. So if I had the choice I'd get the APX.

For me, when buying a stick that costs as much as these two do durability is key.

Yeah. Following up my post. APX is awesome all around. Got 77 flex, P92 curve, lie 6. (Cut it down to 84 ish) But the best thing about the stick is the fact that it is so lightweight and has such a solid feel on its blade. Also, it has multiple kick points depending on what shot you take. Which is

I picked up a pro-stock Stealth a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love it.

Great feel, incredibly light, and no durability issues yet. Still looks brand new after about 5 games or so.

professional players always get the new sticks before they are available to retail. that way bauer can get feel back and test issues before they go on sale to the public

The X60 is the best stick I've ever used and the APX has an even better blade. Never used the RS but if I could have any one stick for free it'd be an APX. Shame they nixed the intermediate 75 flex though.
