I wonder what he hurt and how, I can't recall any specific hit last game.
Wouldn't surprise me if the Volchenkov hit rattle his existing neck condition. We'll see what happens.

Well I've been delaying this post, but I guess I'll chime in. Hate to say it ....

5-2 Bruins

Vanek, Pominville or Gerbe get a goal

The Bruins will prove to be too much, especially with all our injuries.

SHould be an exciting game. Wish I didn't have to work but oh well i deliver food so i can listen to it on the radio. Time Thomas has 2 shutouts in a row and shutouts in 3 out of his last 5 starts.

Ok, just to give me hope. Who in our lineup tonight can/will drop the gloves?

- Gaustad

- Regehr

- Tropp

- Kaleta

- Is McCormick in? From what I've heard, he won't be.

- I can see Stafford dropping them tonight, especially with that A on his chest.

- Hecht...

You know, screw this rampant pessimism. I'm calling it right now:

The Sabres are going to win this game.

I don't care that the big bad Bruins are the hottest team in the league and have the decided edge in physicality.
I don't care that the game is in the Effin' Center where the Sabres have struggled.
I don't care that we have tons of guys injured.

We are going to see a focused, determined bunch, and they are going to send Boston home emptyhanded.

Let's Go Buffalo!

I think the Sabres will play well in front of Enroth in this important game. They won't be intimidated.

Whoever scores the first goal is going to win the game. I think if Boston scores first, the life will come out of the place and the here-we-go-again attitude will be permeating from the FNC, and we'll get beat handily. If we score first, I think the crowd--and it should be a good one tonight with all of the out-of-town diehards that should be in attendance--will be loud and engaged, and it's very possible Boston just mentally bargains with itself and says, "Well, we won nine in a row, we're back in the race, losing this one isn't a big deal and the Sabres feel they'll have taken some measure of revenge." Well, I don't think Lucic knows what half of those words mean, but you get the idea.

I think Buffalo jumps out to a 2-0 lead in the first ten minutes, and coasts to a 4-1 win.

Seguin

Vanek (2)
Pominville
Gerbe

I'll be at work for this one but streaming the game over one of my nook demos. Make it a good one tonight and the shift goes by that much quicker.

Buffalo looses this one 4 or 5 to 1 or none.
I can't see the Sabres current roster handling the aggressive play of Boston.

Posting this here too, just for relevancy. A couple hours later, I like this less and less, especially considering the smugness displayed by both Lucic and the Bruins.

"He's obviously a good player," Sabres captain Jason Pominville said. "He's usually a clean player, to be honest with you. He gets in there and works extremely hard. Obviously, we weren't happy with the hit. A lot of people were upset about it. Besides that, you have to give him credit."

It's just a little rope-a-dope to lull the Bruins into submission.

What do you expect the Sabres players to do overtly? Put a couple boxes of Miller-autographed Kotex in the Bruins vistor locker stalls? [1]

[1] On second thought, if I were Mr. President "Big Daddy Ted" Black, maybe I put a couple boxes in the Sabres locker room, with fake signatures of "Love, Zdeno" and "Thinking of you, -Milan".

...On a serious front, now leaving work early. 90% of the folks are gone.

Haha nice. The tablet is perfect for that, except for when kids want to play angry birds and it shuts off the game. Too bad they don't have a gamecenter app or anything like that though. Btw I got coaxed into working 12-7 black friday for my last day. What was I thinking, right?

Best thing to do is hit there best players legally but to punish, ala Seguin or Timmy if he is in open ice or Bergeron.

Im glad you posted this. Lucic is actually a pretty clean player, which is surprising for someone his size/playing style/and temper when people piss him off. Personally I don't think he'd be able to get away with being dirty, he's big and not very shifty, it would be too obvious and he'd have a big reputation by now for it.

Not sure where all the doom and gloom is coming from, I see a close game and a good chance at a sabres win.

I hope you beat his a** tonight. Not challenge him to a fair fight and lose. Beat his a** any way you can.

Normally I'm in the "beat them on the scoreboard" camp. Tonight's a bit different for me. I'd like to see someone jump out of character and make some heads roll. Leggo!

I hope they don't run Thomas, because I have him in my pool and I already lost Miller...

I consider your comment on Lucic not being able to get away with anything complete and utter garbage. He's already gotten away with taking the face of USA hockey out with an injury....you know, Ryan freaking Miller.
And I'm no Miller fan, to sit here and make comments like this is just a complete joke.

Lucic ran Miller and Injured him, he deserved to sit 10 in my opinion.
