I really need to find myself a noob server to get used to the game, that's for sure. I agree about the first guns too, trying to build up as an engineer first and feel like I can't hit anything.

I never played the new maps that just came out before but they sure are awesome. Nice to have a change of scenery.

Just had the longest Rush Game ever. I was defending in my Frog foot the entire match without being shot down once. It was on Kharg Island and we had them down to 4 tickets left twice before they would get the last M-comm. We finally shut them down on the last set though.

Well first thoughts about the maps.

For the console version they should have extended the player limit on the maps, they are big.

Wake Island is a lot of fun, probably my favourite of the 4. There's even a little bobcat skid loader which you can drive.

Unlocked a couple of guns, the first Light MG you unlock recoils LIKE A MOTHER****ER.

The other 3 maps i've enjoyed more playing rush on rather than assault conquest.

The only thing is having the patience to aim at the head and only the head, which he is doing. It really sucks at first and can be discouraging. But once it starts to click, you go beastmode. I had a round of Bazaar on Rush where the defenders ignored me and I just shot them to pieces as they came over the rubble pile on the 3rd stage. It honestly takes a lot of discipline to go for headshots like that. It's so tempting to take the easy sure-thing body shot when it's available but that takes 2 shots.

Once you stick with 1 sniper rifle & scope combo and absolutely learn its nuances you can be deadly. I'm sure he has the bullet drop memorized by now on the M98. I'm more of a M40 guy but the flat shooting .338 is nice.

I'm not sure what the drag shooting is all about. That just for show or is there some advantage to it?

It looks to me like it must be some sort of aim assist the way he swipes by there heads. I used to do it back when I played Halo2 mind you the aim assist was quite obvious with that game compared to this one.

I didn't think this game has aa though at least on pc.

Im terrible sniping I guess I dont have the patience, Im good at this game but have a hard time switching playstlyes or classes mid game.

There's aim assist on the consoles? And you wonder why we call you peasants.

I think it was easier in BC2 actually, but maybe because of the whole recon class being a lot stronger. Pokeballs + C4 gave it a lot more versatility, as well as OHK from close ranges (which is the range I play at).

I know they're bringing back the OHK in close ranges in a future patch so that'll be interesting.

I don't get why it isn't just a straight sliding scale. I've seen the raw data and it is far more steep than it should be. Granted the maps are fairly small compared to real life engagements but still.

Haven't played in 2 weeks or so. Finals, Skyrim and whatnot. Game still crashes on me a lot, SLI or non SLI. I plan on switching my server over to 24/7 Karkand. I expect a huge influx of people for the 'expansion'.

I don't play bf on console I play on pc, but this game is just a console port somewhat and I imagine the console version has AA.

That's the only real explanation for that swiping though unless hes hacking in my opinion there has to be some sort of AA on pc, or some messed up hit box mechanics going on, I don't think there's any way hes timing it.

What do people think of the Back to Karkand map? Came out for PC today. I'm really enjoying the urban warfare but these maps are really vehicle centric. Not sure if I like that or dislike it but its a great change of pace nonetheless.

I only played for a bit so Im not ready to pass judgement just yet but I agree about the vehicles, Ive read the buffing of the soflam has made javalin deadly.

I only played a few because Origin went down like at 9am today which just looks so fail on EAs part big time.

For some reason, it won't let me go online for Origin, but I guess that deals with the traffic and updating of the map packs?
