So I started getting back into CFL football this year on the NFL Network, but it looks like nobody local will have the Grey Cup!! I haven't been able to get any of the other games on TSN.ca streams, so I doubt I'll be able to access the championship.
Apparently there's a cable outfit called America One that will have the game but of course we don't get them.
Is there a sports bar in the Central Ohio area that will have the game? Or some way us poor, deprived south-of-the-border types can watch online?
I am a BC Lions fan by the way, so after suffering through those first five games, it would be sweet indeed to see 'em win the cup at home!
If there's a place that will have it and anybody interested in watching it, I'll buy the first round!
Mostly incentive based. I could see it turning out well if he can stay healthy, but I don't think that's going to happen. He's probably far more talented than anyone else they're going to sign anyways.

Turns out I can get ESPN3.com, so should be able to watch on that. Now watching replays of divisional finals!
I'm not a basketball fan really, but Thad Matta (assuming he has followed NCAA rules) has made this job (OSU basketball) a destination job. There's always been good talent fostered by the midwest high schools in basketball and with that pipeline, this program is definitely set up to potentially be a powerhouse program for another decade, if not longer.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
I'm amazed at some of the stories I'm reading on Facebook from a few of my friends about how they've taken crap about either:
a) Being a Michigan fan and talking smack after the win (i.e. "Well, at least there won't be gold pants to sell this year") or
b) Simply being from Michigan since the game ended.
One guy's mother-in-law called him an A-hole and lit him up. Another is a deal where the husband and his family is from Ohio, wife is from Michigan and watched the game here, and her celebration of a Michigan win almost got her thrown out.
It almost makes me embarrassed to be an OSU fan, really. I know everybody handles it differently, but the amount of butthurt going on with some fans even though they (we?) didn't mind celebrating the last seven OSU/Michigan games is wild.
This year's done. Give them this one, and watch what happens when Urban's at the helm next year.

I agree with everything except "a)" - if your friend is talking smack, then he should expect to get some back. Otherwise, you're right, OSU fans (of which I'm one) are among the most obnoxious in America - right up there with Michigan fans!
Well Meyer is as official as its going to get before its official now. Whatever that means.
It was a good game, terrible 2 minute drill but hes a freshmen. I blame the coaches for not talking to him on the sidelines before the 2 minutes to get him ready for it. They showed him on the sidelines once or twice while the defense was out before just sitting by himself.
What was the whole eating a bowl of soup thing by Michigan? Last year we got in trouble for make an "O" with our gloves yet they can eat soup after every play?

Every team in every sport has obnoxious fans. But for as long as I can remember, OSU fans take things more seriously than Michigan fans. At least, for football.
I can only recall the very last years of Schembechler and beginning of Cooper as my starting point but it has always felt that way. It's not that Michigan fans don't care but OSU fans seem to go a bit overboard with the obsession.
Even in the Tressel years when they were on the winning end. It's sort of like Canada and Hockey.
Urban is a fine hire and has the same moral compass that Tressel did( ) but I'm thinking five years. Tops.
These news reports have me confused. If they were going to build an urban Meijer in Columbus, wouldn't you do it more in the downtown area than on campus? I'm no city planner, but...
