Two fights followed by a two Sabre goals had everyone happy with the opening 20 minutes at the First Niagara Center Wednesday night. However, Boston would not back down, cutting the deficit to 1 goal after 40 minutes and tying the game in the third forcing OT. Overtime settled nothing, nor did the first three shooters for each side. Pouliot would eventually score the lone shoot-out goal awarding the Bruins with the extra point. Buffalo is now 6-4-1 in November
Next up for the Sabres (12-8-1,25pts) are the Columbus Blue Jackets (5-13-3,24pts). This is the second and final meeting of the season between the two teams. Buffalo leads the season series 1-0 thanks to a 4-2 win back in October. The Sabres enter the game coming off their first shoot-out loss of the season. Meanwhile Columbus enters action playing their best hockey of the season. The Jackets have claimed points in 5 of their past 6 games, with a 3-1-2 record in that span. Can Columbus pick up another point or two or will the Sabres leave town with their league leading 8th road win?
