NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

I don't think we are thinking about losing. It's one game, and we're not going to win them all.
We're going to put that one behind us, learn from our mistakes, and focus on winning hockey games. We're not thinking about losing, or about Saturday, any more.
- Brandon Prust

To be honest, we didn't even go over the tape from that game. This is a case where you just put the tape away and move on and move ahead.
We realize our effort needs to be better and our execution needs to be there.
- Ryan Callahan

Not just the last game, but it’s been in our game for a little bit here, just not getting enough rebound chances because we’re missing the net a lot.
Especially on the power play. We’re missing it a lot there.
- John Tortorella

LGR. You spelled "that' wrong in Callahan's quote, by the way. And they aren't going over the tape or talking about this game? That's a bit ridiculous to me.

This is why the debbies choked away a 3-goal lead and lost. Because these "sucky" panthers are all that suck. This isn't colombus or anaheim, they are actually winning games.

Why? They were playing great for a great streak, all they did was lose one game after a pretty long layoff. They are a good team and they need to see themselfs doing it.

We can't under-estimate this Panthers team. Teams have been doing that all year and have been losing to them. I do think we'll win this one, but it won't be as easy as previous years.

The Panthers don't suck anymore.

Be it they're a decent team now, or they're off to a very hot first half (see: Atlanta, last year), right now they do not suck.

We need to come at them hard and pull out a W.

They had what, 15 shots on goal?

Hey! What do you know. A Rangers game. Stupid schedule.

Well they had plenty of time to get their **** together for this one so I expect a better effort than the last game. LGR!

Don't underestimate this Panthers team, their top line is the best in the league atm and their scoring from the backend is sick. Campbell, Kulikov, Garrisson, Versteeg, Weiss, and Fleischman can and probably will light us up a bit.

3 really good offseason additions by Panthers (Versteeg, Feischmann and Campbell) and now they look quite competitive. Hope they can keep it up. Well except tommorow when Rangers win big.

Really have no idea what to expect from this one. The Panthers are always a flaky team that I feel we never figure out. They can look great, or look like garbage, just like the Rangers. I was at the game last year where we shut them out 1-0, wearing my custom Away jersey, I'll be doing the same tonight from home. LGR!

I wouldn't say they were playing great during the streak...they were finding ways to win games and that's always a good thing...but the PP, the ability to consistently generate offensive zone pressure, and lack of SOG have been and are still concerning.

These night before Thanksgiving games always remind me of when I was a kid...my Dad's company had Season Tickets, 3rd row behind the Ranger bench, we always got those tickets and it was always Rangers-Flyers.

Actually, Florida has given us plenty of trouble over the last three seasons. And I bet it's gonna be an even harder game for us now.

The boys gotta bring it tonight.

Maybe they should all wear The Rock's t-shirt.

LGR! Let's start the streak again right now.
