What coaching style is Oates going to install?

Sorry wasn't sure where to put this.

Just wondering what to kind of expect from the Caps this year as the past 2-3 seasons have seen a defensive team which seems to have stiffled their offence but has been really good for a guy like Holtby to succeed.

Is Oates going back to the run and gun and risk the offensive chances on Holtby? Or is he going to play conservative?

Thanks!

Since it seems our coaches struggle to find middle ground between offense and defense, it would not surprise me to see Oates will try to run the Hawaii Five - 0.

Mega offense.

While I think we need someone in between Bruce and Dale, we can only speculate at this point. Will he let Ovi run, or keep teaching him to backcheck. Ultimately I think Oates will try to find that balance. He racked up a lot of points while being defensive minded himself.

Everything that has been said points to very similar to how the Devils played in the playoffs. More aggressive forecheck for one. Around the 1:30 mark in the below video from GMGM he talks about what the system will be.

Hard forecheck? Sounds stupid to make the tallest and heaviest team in the NHL play that way.

Err what? Are you yearning for the passive 'let them come to us so we can shadow them' system?

The defeats the purpose of the sarcasm half the time.

But much more important, did someone seriously just post a video of Jeff Dunham, the biggest hack loser in the history of the universe? Wow.

Edit: Everyone should read this: http://www.ruthlessreviews.com/9208/...f-dunham-show/
So ****ing funny.
