So, just about every hockey fan thinks we're gonna lose this one. Can't wait to prove them all wrong. (I hope)

They've been writing this team off since the begininng - it's really no surprise. This attitude won't change until they've reached mid-Feb IMO, so long as they're still jumping between 7th and 10th.

So the Sens keep Rundblad in Ottawa, but bench him every game because he can't play defence instead of sending him to Bingo ...

Ottawa sends Filatov down to Bingo instead of keeping him in Ottawa because he can't play defence....

NO WONDER NIKKI WANTS TO GO HOME.

... um, Rundblad would be sent down if we had another healthy defenceman to scratch. Carkner got injured, once he's healthy Rundblad will also be sent down.

Karlsson with a big game tonight. He likes playing the Penguins.

I hope Anderson is ready to go. It's gonna be quite a test for him.

Wrong. Ottawa sent Nikki to Bingo so he could light up the AHL, find his scoring touch and confidence again so he can transpose it to the NHL. He's been too wary of making a mistake at the top level and therefore too tentative. Playing safe isn't why they got him.

He wants to be in Ottawa more than Russia.

Precisely. Filatov's priority list:
1. Ottawa
2. Moscow
3. Binghamton

This is going to be a big test tonight. Hopefully the Sens can keep up the strong play on the road like the past couple of games.

He needs to keep playing well in Bingo and he'll be up with the big club in no time. Actually, he's probably already a shoe-in. Funny how hard work pays off sometimes.

Crosby has been off the NHL for 10 months. This will be his 3rd game in 4 nights, he may be a bit tired.

He's going to get at least one more significant chance in the teams top 6. It'll be easy to figure out who he'll replace if there's an injury....

Does anyone else think Crosby kinda looks like Freddie Mercury in this pic? Oh, and Sens win 4-2.

My guess is that Blysma plays Staal against Spezza & Crosby & Malkin against whoever else Ottawa puts out there. Pitt is very strong down the middle & have some very good complimentary players. Neal on the 3rd line is weird, not sure why he isn't playing with Crosby but there is only room for three on a line. Hopefully Ottawa can make a game out of it & hang in there till the end, if they are still in it in the 3rd anything can happen.

Don't expect to see much of DaCosta tonight. Vigneault always tried to put out the Sedins against him, and MacLean ended up having to either get the Smith line out there, or move Michalek down to 2nd and Foligno into the middle.

DaCosta will be targetted again tonight.

Sens are going to have no choice but to play him against somebody good given the pens depth down the middle. Maybe Mustachio can get him out there against the Staal line.

Should be interesting to see if MacLean throws out the Daugavins-Smith-Condra line against the Croz...

Worth a shot! Clouston learned in the playoffs a few years ago that going power vs power with Crosby is a dangerous way to fly.

Spezza's line will most likely be seeing Cooke-Staal-Kennedy all night as well.

We better hope our 3rd line can somewhat contain Sid, and Foligno-Da Costa-Alfie outwork Geno.
