Backes is really starting to be a monster to play against, he's constantly stripping pucks.

Selke?

great W! Great effort! Elliott and Backes can share the 1st star

just the finish wasn`t that good, otherwise a really solid game

Forget TB's 1-3-1...the Elliott defense will soon be outlawed by the league due to its unfairness to opposing teams. It constantly creates low scoring games which is bad for the league!

Think I got some Pie on my face...

I wish I could've seen this one. What a story Elliott has been so far.

First post on these forums, so first want to say Hello Blues Fans!

Secondly,

Been looking good under Hitch so far. I was somewhat hesitant to welcome him but if this continues in the right direction, I may wind up being sold!

Any news on Sobotka's injury?

The Blues won 57% of the faceoffs (best in a long time). Arnott and Berglund both were 65% +. They've been very poor in the circle this year so far. I know Calgary is not good at faceoffs, so this should be no real sign of improvement. The Blues ought to have a big clinic on faceoffs. Only Nichol does well, consistently. But, the rest of their game (other than the Power Play) is going very well.

I doubt the Blues get the attention necessary for a nomination. Unless there's a fall off, I have no reason to think it won't be Datsyuk again.

Welcome aboard! I'm more of a lurker than a poster myself

STL looking tough... You know when teams see the Blues next up on their schedule they dread the day!

Yeah the broadcasts have really sucked so far this year. Bad camera work and just low grade graphic work overall.

It was a nice ugly win tho. There were stretches where I got worried a bit.

Sobotka actually was our best face-off guy last time I checked. 53.9% in 165 face-offs.

What if Elliott plays an entire season like this. What do we do with him? Do we make Halak a backup? We still have Allen and Bishop in Peoria. Would we simply hold on to everyone or maybe use one of these guys for trade?

At this point I think i'd put it at at least 50-50 that Ben Bishop gets traded

Calgary is actually worst in the league. I noticed Berglund has improved a lot since last season, but still not where he should be. McDonald is a guy that could help us in that area.
