Cool thx! quick question, what exactly did you mean about Beaulieu? The thing about the jar and being closed was a little confusing, lol.

He meant that Beaulieu also has a pretty good shot, he's 'in the mix', but it's close because of the competition being so fierce in terms of defensemen.

Canada’s second intra-squad game gets underway at 9 p.m. ET at the Winsport Athletic and Ice Complex in Calgary.

Defenseman Joe Morrow and forward Brendan Gallagher have been traded to Team Red. In exchange, Team White gets Devante Smith-Pelly, Freddie Hamilton, Max Reinhart and Nathan Beaulieu.

The Flyers maybe but that's only one team and I could make an argument that it's a tie:

03 - Carter (11) & Richards (24)
04 - ********************
05 - Steve Downie (29)
06 - Claude Giroux (22)
07 - James Van Riemsdyk (2)
08 - Luca Sbisia (19)
10 - **************
11 - Sean Couturier (8)

Does that list look so much better than Timmins that we need to rag on him for his first round picks?

Van Riemsdyk (2)
Sean Couturier (8)
Jeff Carter (11)
Luca Sbisia (19)
Claude Giroux (22)
M. Richards (24)
Steve Downie (29)

Price (5)
Kostitsyn (10)
McDonagh (12)
Beaulieu (17)
Louis Leblanc (18)
Chipchura (18)
Fischer (20)
Patches (22)
Tinordi (22)

Of all those players on that list Timmins drafted the best player: Price. No one not even Giroux comes close to him.

Some posters keep ragging on him because he lost Giroux. Well, when the Flyers drafted Downie they lost Neal, Vlasic, Pavelec, Stastny and with the Sbisia pick they lost out on del Zotto, Ennis, Eberle.

Not to mention that the Flyers are only one team, out of the 29 remaining teams in the league.

Timmins has done a good job.

Though I agree with the sentiment of your post, I'm guessing you'll have a hard time finding too many people that agree with you about Price being the best player of the group.

I'd trade Price for Giroux in an instant...though I'd have to have something else set up for a better starter than Budaj.

Let me guess you're either Clarke or Holgren.

Did they win the cup with Giroux when they were in the finals? Oh wait right, they lost cuz of bad goaltending.

The moral fo the story, A good team starts with a good goaltender... And we have A GREAT ONE!!!

Guys, love to chat about the draft and all but that's clearly not the thread to do this.....

Where can we find the numbers of all players? Did the Beaulieu-Gallagher trade affected their numbers?

Off the top of my head, beaulieu is 26, bournival is 14 and gallagher is 19. I'm sure hockey canada's website has the rest.

And Whitesnake is right, this isn't the draft thread. Any more off topic posts will be removed.

Thanks. Though unless I'm totally blind, hockey canada has the names but doesn't seem to have the numbers....but I'm surely blind.

numbers on the left. Pretty sure you can choose to view by team (red/white) to get a better idea.

Sucks that you can't really see the numbers on the red jerseys.

Edit: Gallagher with an O zone penalty, a hab at hearth.

Beaulieu is #12 on white and Gallagher is #6 on red. Bournival still #14 on white.

Beaulieu playing with Hamilton LOL. Good pairing though.
Wedgewood with a BOSS save. Seriously he's impressive.

He does that with the Dogs. Gets deflected in a lot more than this though

Oooo that was a Markovian backdoor sneaky one timer from Beaulieu. So good.

It was markovian, wasn't it? At first I was thinking, " oh, I guess they're playing someone else with hamilton on the PP", then a beautiful cross ice pass and Boom, beauty one timer.
