He's an average passer with a knack for occasionally making filthy passes

lol, the whole team has been crap so far (yes 7 in a row, but those 7 were not because of superior play), and now our guys are freakin saints.

Lol, we're been lucky

kills me that Philly is always able to draft great and continue to produce star scoring forwards almost every draft, where as we pray to get at least one in a decade (still waiting)...

I still hold to my opinion that I am seeing more skill from Callahan this season.

Perhaps I am seeing things wrong, but hey, that's what I see through my blue-tinted glasses

Seriously, I know he is not one of the best passers in the league, but he is getting better at that, and that is a good thing to notice.

Not one of the best around but all of the comments saying that this is a totally crazy idea are off just as badly. Callahan is a very good passer in my opinion. I've seen him make great plays on many occasions.

he's a pretty good passer. but the best in the league? not even close. though that would be a good question, who is the best passing winger in the NHL? my vote would go to Martin St. Louis.

Lidstrom does not stink.

edit: he's also not a winger

How is it off to say the OP's statement is crazy? Even if you say Callahan is an above-average passer, that's a FAR cry from making him one of the best in the league. It's just an absurd statement.

Of course it doesn't apply to every fan, of course we don't all get together and decide how we're going to feel. But people on here even admit we are bipolar, and the threads like this that pop up after a win or a loss prove it.

What games do you watch, try solid second liner who will score 30 goals and does everything else well, forecheck, backcheck, body check, penalty kill, gives 110% on every shift....

I think you misunderstood my post. When we were losing people were saying Callahan is a 3rd line grinder, and now we win and he gets 3 assists this thread pops up saying he's one of the best playmaking wingers in the league

You don't even have to watch the games to know if the Rangers won or lost. Just come to HFBoards and take a look at the thread titles.

Since he was drafted into the OHL Cally is one of the most improved players in NHL history. Can't develop much more than he has and I think hyperbole aside what the OP was trying to say is every year the guy just freakin gets better somehow. Not afraid to say he's one of the all time great rangers. But is he one of the best passers in the league? No. He's got real good vision and passing though for sure

Yeah, he's a good passer. Above average, but not great.

He really needs to improve his shot, though. A lot of our guys need to do that. Him and Dubi especially.

Why do these threads always pop up after a win

Not even close and I love Cally
