I think they need a bottom ender, pk, face-off man.

They could however call up both Zigo and Kadri, but not officially.

Orr was scratched yesterday wasn't he? I don't think they can make an emergency recall.

Section 13.12 (m) (ii): Emergency conditions shall be established when the playing strength of the Loaning Club, by reason of incapacitating injury or illness or by League suspension to its Players is reduced below the level of two (2) goalkeepers, six (6) defensemen and twelve (12) forwards.

Can't be that big an issue getting a guy in from St. John's, there is almost 48 hours to deal with it. If they're that interested in making it happen they can always charter flight, no big deal. If they want a guy(s) there they'll be there.

Certainly not an issue and they don't need to ice a full line up anyway if weather did come into play.

How many spare players do they have with the Marlies right now?

You are probably correct but what time was it in St Johns when Gunnar and Steckle went down? So someone would start their journey early this morning to get in late tonight for a 6:00 start tomorrow. The guys body will feel like it's a 10:30 start? And that's assuming travel on Thanksgiving weekend and weather all go well. It might be a tough go when Ross could take a 2 hour flight from Portland to get there.(Assuming they are at home).

Of course, the answer somebody gave about emegency recall was, Ross isn't the answer. Might as well play 1 more game with what you have and figure it out when you get home. If Grabs is coming back, we'll have an extra centre anyway.

perhaps jumping the 'gun'narsson on this one

but i do remember the Aulie - Phaneuf tandem doing suprisingly well last yr
that was probably the initial plan anyway (training camp)
but Aulie struggled , Gunnarsson quitely suprised
Aulie is playing a bit better now

You could leave St. John's this morning and get into LA just after lunch thanks to the timezones. I have done it many times. It's not an issue.

Yea, you could but that often comes with some time to plan and assuming all flight plans go as scheduled. I don't think they'd do it, but we'll see.

We should change PGT's to PGT/Injury Report, it would be more accurate.

Has there been any update on the condition of these two? Apologizes if it's already been stated in the thread.

Blacker seems like he'd be a good fill-in for Gunnarsson. Doubt he's NHL ready though, and highly doubt wilson gives him a shot.

Holzer is up, why not play him.

I agree Aulie would be good too.

When Grabs get back, how about 4th line C by committee?

Can you really blame us? A quarter of the team is ALREADY out, can't really handle much more...

Any fanbase would be this worried if one of their top paring defensemen got injured while already having 4 key injuries.

I just dont see Kadri as a fit on a 4th/checking line. Most likely Zigo will get the call, as we can use his faceoff prowess.

I imagine Aulie or Mikus would be one of the call-ups if there were one. But with Holzer on the trip, he likely slides in if Gunnarsson is out any period of time.

I also think that Zigo will be the next one to call up if the team needs because Kadri does not fit into the 3rd or 4th role right now.

I really don't know how some fans are trying to call up Kadri and put him into 2nd or 1st line right away when both lines are doing good job lately. Can he make the biggest impact now? Absolutely no.

Henny and others confirming that Steckel and Gunnar are both not on the ice in Anaheim.

No gunnarsson or steckel at leaf skate today. Liles/dion taking a maintenance day as well after a busy night in dallas.
