Calling Volchenkov a bottom-pairing defenseman solidifies my opinion of you DATW. And that's you have no clue what you are talking about. Your ***** boy PMD's wouldn't have half the heart that Volchenkov does. He's someone I want to go to war with, not a sissy like Kaberle which you absurdly claimed you would trade Volchenkov for.
He's not here to be an offensive catalyst or to move the puck so just leave it alone already man. It's incredibly annoying.
If you are a #1 pairing d-men, shouldn't you be loging the most minutes out of your blueline? Top pairing blueliners don't get 17 minutes per game and they don't get "by passed" by someone like Salvador in terms of icetime per game.
I've said numerous times that Volchenkov is a warrior, is a master on the PK, he can level about anyone with a real hard hit but with all that said, he puts our team in tough situations more often then not cause of his lack of skills with the most important object in the game of hockey... the puck.
We had Colin White who is fairly similar in terms of "talent" and he got waived because he was making too much coin. Now, we have the same type of player who's earning 1.25M$ more then White did and on a longer term.
I would've dreamed of landing a player like him before the lockout cause the rules were in his favour. Now that you can't hold up or block a opposing forechecker, it takes away alot his abilities cause he's not the best skater out there and he has to utilise his hockey smarts and skills more so then in years past, hence, the multiple turnovers or lack of execution.
Talking about PMD's has nothing to do with how I feel about him, Salvador, White or anyone else that is only serviceable in one of the three zones.
Anyways, I'll come back later on to continue this fantastic conversation cause I got some **** to do and I'm DVR'ing the game. I don't have a problem with you whatsoever, just saying
That play starts with Zach and a physically weak pass attempt to Henrique. Have to be stronger than that. Isles breakup the pass and everyone is flat footed.
Larsson should've let Greene work out his man and played the pass (Moulson) like a 2 on 1. Greene should have the hand-eye coordination to hit a puck. Zach should've got it deep.
