Where do the Amerks pull from to replace all these guys!?
Well, it's Darcy that pulls up players and he rarely does so. The Amerks have probably played less than 5 games this season with 12 forwards and 6 defensemen.
Gwinnett is the affiliate but the only player there is a defenseman.

Matt MacKenzie played center last night and they recalled Boychuk earlier in the week. It'll be interesting to see if they sign anyone after signing Rankin earlier in the week.
Szczechura was a Matt Ellis type for the Lightning. Hopefully he can replicate that tonight with Buffalo.

So that would be either the running check Pominville took from Boll in the third or perhaps Carter flattening Vanek late. Good thing this team is so tough that they stand up for their star players... Oh. Wait. Nevermind.
I think Paul Szczechura was called up for Tropp because Tropp has 9 games played and is right at that cut off line that he would have to clear waivers to go back down at 11 games and they don't want to risk losing him and might want to use him for one more game this year.

Tropp is 22, a second year pro and has played 9 games. Tropp is waiver exempt
I thought it doesn't matter how young you are after you play 10 games you're no longer waiver exempt.
You're probably thinking of under-20 players burning a year of their ELC which is a completely different scenario and doesn't have anything to do with Tropp.
