GMGM needs to go too. I'm sorry but his sorry ass did nothing to fix our defense, in fact he made it worse. Who cares if he has picked some good picks and makes some good trades in his time here. He is just as much to blame as BB, imo.

I'm not one that thinks BB is the big problem, or that replacing automatically makes things better. But I am honestly curious what his leash is like this season. Last season, obviously, he had a pretty long lifeline during the regular season. But this looks like an entirely different set of issues this time so I don't know if it plays out the same way.

I don't think one win or one loss should matter if you're changing coaches. Ignoring the optics of it, if you're ready to replace BB then them coming back to win it shouldn't change it (maybe you wait for the next loss or whatever but still). And vice versa, because that type of thinking strikes me as short-sighted. Unless they've already got the guy lined up...

The fan in me would rather see a trade, just because that's more interesting. But those are so tough to do, or at least do well, that I'm not holding my breath.

Eventually the refs will call interference against the Sabres. Saw at least two pretty blatant ones go uncalled.

Give him crap for Hamrlik, but it's not his fault Carlson didn't show up to play (defensively) this year, and I don't know how much blame to give him for Wideman (he'd be great for us if his role were still reduced, the way it was initially).

This team needs a new GM, one who has no loyalty to any of these coaches or players. Somebody who hasn't built playoff failure after playoff failure for 14 years. Either that, or we can once again back up a little bit more and run into that brick wall a little harder and expect a different result with George at the helm.

Wideman and Hamrlik already -2 a piece. They were both -3 the last night.

Hell, Orlov seems like our only defender who can make an accurate pass. Those passes to Semin and Ovi were gorgeous.

I really hope something changes soon for the Caps, I think they have the talent to surge this year its just a shame that Bruce's style isn't working. I loved watching the Caps games back a few years ago when they would light up teams easily day after day

Yes if that is what it will take for a change. I could make list of reason why I feel this way covering the past few seasons. But you have heard it all before. And now we and not only seeing the waste of talent. We are seeing a team that just does not want to play for BB anymore. We have a 10mill+ player that has not played like himself for going on two years. If it was my team I would do anything I could to get him going. Something has to give.

I try to be optimistic and not over react. However, these guys look like a bunch of partying college kids trying to take an exam they didn't study.

Some set of fairweather fans we've got. I miss 5 years ago when it was just the loyal hardcore people.

Hope we lose?

I hope we get blown out. We don't deserve to win and apparently GMGM is destined to become the "last of the Mohicans" when it comes to supporting our coach. It would seem we'll have to slink to the bottom of the league before he catches the drift that almost 100% of us were aware of at the end of last year.

This team has become almost completely unwatchable.

Pathetic.

(Now watch us storm back and win this game. )

This team did rebuild entirely through the draft? Right. Damn those fairweather fans who rooted to get draft position! Damn those fairweather fans who rooted for short term losses for long term games. Damn them all!

Sorry kid....just been a fan for a long time and have learned not to whine and cry after a loss when it suits my purposes.

Man Id rather Bruce try to win every game with all our hearts and all our minds. Then get blown out of the playoffs rather than losing a few regular season games and instead get a new coach and go somewhere deeper! Tru fan 4 lyfe yall!

Fairweather fans would have turned the game off by now. Everyone here is clearly a masochist.
