Yes, he's played OK tonight and deserves a non B2B start to see what he can do.

eh ... I'm not confident with Raycroft. He makes big stops, but allows weak goals.

Benn comes close to scoring twice on that last shift. First off the post and then he steals the puck out front and just can't quite finish.

Oh well, move on to the next game.

Sadly, I don't think there are many options. The guys getting scratched don't exactly have any offensive game, and there's no one to call up with any real skill.

He'll still be given a real chance in front of a non-tired team before kids from Austin will be given the #1 job. And he deserves it. If he still sucks after given real starts then go from there.

Silver lining is that Larsen's been our best d man the past 2 games. He might stick around.

Lost 7 of the past 9, not a good stat. Benn and Ribs lines scoreless 2 nights in a row.

Head to Denver, put it behind us, and find a way to band together.

This was posted on DBD but bears repeating:
Quote:
Injuries are killing the Stars right? - Burish, Morrow, Goligoski and now Fiddler and Daley... Yes the Stars are a hurting bunch right now but what is really doing the Stars in is the fact that the players that are healthy aren't stepping up as there was a distinct lack of push back from Dallas the entire game. Loui Eriksson and Michael Ryder failed to get any shots on goal. Steve Ott only had one. All these injuries would be prime time for a guy like Radek Dvorak to step up and take charge and he was largely invisible.

A team can do one of two things with an injury bug like the Stars are suffering through right now, they can either be resigned to their dumb luck and just start hoping that players return soon or they can be proactive and see it as opportunity for other players who are healthy to make an even bigger contribution than expected.

Sadly tonight it appeared the Stars would have rather spent the time feeling sorry about their bad run of fortune.
This is really true. There's very little fire right now to "pull your bootstraps and work harder when **** goes wrong" ESPECIALLY on the road. You see some of that fire at times at home, but never in front of Raycroft and rarely away from the AAC. They seem to just give up when they realize they're playing poorly.

Fraser should get a chance IMO. Seems to score wherever he goes.

Bachman comes up, no idea who backs up Besko though.

Any news on how significant all three of the injuries are yet?

This isn't a team with a lot of offensive talent.

This is true. It would be nice to see the two best forwards play more than 16 minutes though...
