Again you are wrong.

We are good with Hall; relevant. They speak of the Oilers highly on podcasts here in USA and show their highlights on sports shows at night. Again, when we win; we're relevant. That's good for a fan like me.

Without Hall, we don't win and have less relevance. It's really pretty simple

Oilers weren't that great even with Hall. Having said that at least he adds a spark to a lifeless team.

Hard to say what their Pythagorean value or actual value was; they were a first place team though.

So you want Hall to be rushed back so ESPN will show Oiler highlights?

That first place team was more Khabibulin than Hall. And the first 10-12 games was clearly a tease more than the real thing.

How do you know what the "real thing" was? How are you more qualified to say that than anyone else? I say we were a playoff team, so there.

Also--no I don't want Hall to return so he makes highlight clips. Let's try this again, I'll simplify it.

With Hall in the lineup, we're good, entertaining, competitive and relevant. When he's not, we are an afterthought, and the opposite of all of those things. Does that make better sense?

"I felt good today, no problems with shooting or contact. I hope to be back in the lineup on Thursday." - Taylor Hall

Cue the "What's the point of rushing him back!??!" panic attacks.

Good to hear on Taylor, I said from the beginning he was like to come back last Wednesday and if not then he would come back this Thurdsday.

Also in other injury news since this isn't worth starting a thread, Nielson reported that Corey Potter said he hopes to return Thursday and if not Thursday then Saturday for sure.

That pretty much gives us our full, healthy line-up (if you consider Whitney healthy, which I don't). Hopefully, the excuses stop this week.

I'd honestly still rather see Barker in over Petry but you can't really complain about one injury.

Heh, I forgot about Barker when I made the post. How long is he out again? Three months? Man.

Yeah probably won't be back until the end of February at the earliest.

2-7 without Barker in the line up. Still think the Oilers don't need Barker.

I'm saying a guy who is playing at the number 4 spot should be replaceable and not cause too much of a ruckus if he's the only injury.

Come on what is the record with Barker as opposed to without Barker?

(no I am not serious at all)

Gonna be nice to get some of these guys back into the lineup. I don't know how so many other teams passed on Potter.

I said this a while ago and basically the general consensus was that barker was useless and doing more harm than good.

I was joking but I didn't mind Barker in the games he played at all.
