Is it only me?

Am I the only one who doesn't mind missing a hockey game anymore?
With the NHL being a joke and the Canadiens playing a boring type hockey (and still lose games not early 00's NJ Devils) it feels like I have no drive/excitement towards the NHL.

This is not a troll thread or anything it's an honest question

If the Habs were competitive from the first game of the season (even pre-season) you'd be watching all of the games. Winning makes hockey exciting regardless if your team plays a more defensive type of game.

It's not just you. I don't give a **** anymore.

All my hope rests on one man's knee, Andrei Markov.

I figured it was a matter of time for Habs only fans before this would become a factor.

People who play Hockey love it & pretty much watch the whole league & Montreal is a good City/Island for that. Watching Tampa-Minny right now on TSN2.

Understand, that Martin's system is getting dull, I don't bother watching the Habs vs teams like Islanders or FLA if I have other plans. New Jersey is a team I will never watch unless they play the Habs. zzzzzzzz

I watch every second game, since I know that the Habs always win one then lose one.

I'd love to see the viewer stats, I'm pretty sure ratings have fallen.

Latly I will put the game on in the background and lok in for highlights or if something happens. The habs play pretty disgusting hockey and I don't like to see the sport reduced to such crap. I have been watching the oilers more latly because it really is exciting and since I have very little invested in the outcome it is much more enjoyable.

So ya play some skyrim and have the game on 20 feet away and everything gets better lol

14% from last year actually.

This is the first year since the lockout that I missed a game because I forgot it was on. That's saying something.

Didn't miss one and don't intend to. Defensive hockey isn't as entertaining, but it's still very good hockey.

It's like a MMA fan calling a fight boring because it was all BJJ.

Oh well, the bandwagon is emptying... I'm surprised/amazed by the lofty expectations of some fans considering the D we are icing. Regardless, I'll watch and cheer and if they fail, at least we have our first in what is expected to be a very good draft year.

What's funny is I used to sit in front of my TV and watch the games with no distractions. Now, I hop on my laptop and surf the net while the games on. I'll look up every now and again.

Hell, during the last half of the Philly game, I talked to my mom over the phone. In the past I would have paused the game or called her after the game.

Bandwagon? C'mon man. Some of us have lives and would rather do other things than watch the Habs every game. Just cuz you watch every game does not make you more of a fan.

I still watch every game I can, but doesn't mean I enjoy them all as much as I used to. The problem is NFL is just so much more entertaining, it's true!

I'm feeling lukewarm this season as well, but I think it has more to do with their lack of success in the standings, and a sense of frustration with all the major injuries.

I felt the same way when the habs went into the olympic break with b2b losses to philly. But then they reeled off an impressive win streak on the road, and those lukewarm feelings turned into a reinvigorated passion.

I don't know when you became a fan but this team gained immense popularity in the season they finished 1st in the East. I am sure many fans who jumped on the bandwagon then probably share the same feeling. Good riddance, if they stop watching and following the team. I always thought this fan-base got dumber the past few seasons and the proof is everywhere. It makes listening to the radio and reading some posts painful.

I will agree the games are often very boring but I expect we are playing even tighter than the past due to an inexperienced defense.

Above all, I love the Habs and as long as the Habs are playing and on TV, I will be watching regardless of what style they play or how they perform.

Bandwagon is term, Sports is almost a job for me. I kinda have to watch.

I've always believed that it's up to the club to want to make you watch.

People have a life. They shouldn't have to watch boring hockey. For Sure! Nothing wrong with that.

Watching hockey is fun when you win.

However being a fan means you stick with the team through the hard times.

I like Martin, he's capable of keeping this team at a respectable .500 given the injuries and the underperformance of his key players.

yeah same here. i had to baracade myself in my room so nobody would bother me when a game was on. or even take time off work. but now i ont give **** anymore i am actually surprised if the habs win. when the habs get a pp i expect the other team to score that is embarrassing. i never thought there would have been a more diehard fan than me but now............

NFL is great but they air soooo many commercials! I hate breaks in play and sometimes I hope the opposition of the Habs doesnt get called for icing or offside just so the play continues.
