Karma doesn't exist people.

I thought the goal was bull**** but I'm a Habs fan so I don't expect anyone to take my opinion seriously.

I don't agree with the call, but we're taught at a young age to play until the whistle. as a player you can't control when the whistle goes but you can control what you do until that time. The Habs players did not box out Letang, then went on to complain to the refs which they do ever so often (see Don Cherry segments of Habs players getting hit, falling, and lifting their arms in the air while looking at the ref). Play the game and maybe you won't have to complain.

as a hab fan it was a **** call but you play to the whistle. that being said, Price stole habs a point. Carey who's usually calm was just scuzzing out the refs in his PC. never heard him like that before lol

Meh. The refs stunk it up all night both ways.

Which one did they get wrong? The first one, he clearly directed the puck in. The second one there was interference made that helped propel the puck in..although it may still have gone in otherwise (was hard to tell).

The one with the glove or the one he pushed Price in the net.

Really? Are you really going to go there? Lets compare the two hits. Booth get hit in the head, blindisde by Richards. He is unconscious on the ice and is out for several month. Pacioretty hits Letang to the body, but does make contact with the head, it resulted in Letang getting a nose bleed, missing 2 shifts and having a bloody jersey for the rest of the game... If Pacioretty gets more than 2 games, it would be so wrong

Puck was frozen for almost 5 seconds, wasn't swiped at for 3. Ref was on the wrong side of the net and had no direct view of the puck. This is a no brainer, whistle should have blown.

Habs and their fans have every right to be angry, terrible call.

Being on the opposite side is all the more reason for blowing the whistle.

Montreal defense also needs to explain why they stopped playing but the Penguins didn't.

$20 says that goal just saved Max a suspension though, if one was coming.

True. Not sure why they didn't box out the Pens player Neal or whomever that was jamming away.

This is how I see it:

1. Play to the whistle-habs really needed to keep playing
2. Bad call-but the ref saw something to make him believe it was loose
3. The NHL has to be better in these situations. Why didn't the other ref call it dead?

Let's be honest Kunitz's goal shouldnt have counted for three reasons, first it was icing, second he was sitting on the goaline when the puck went in and wasnt pushed there and third he batted it in with his glove.

Absolute chicken**** call by the officials in OT, it seriously reminded me of a beer league ref who just wants to end the game as fast as possible.

He keeps looking for an official to blow the play dead. You would too, if you were waiting around for that length of time.

Robbery, pure and simple.

Neither of the Kunitz goals were legitimate from ANY perspective. What do they even show you on Pittsburgh television? Cropped video of only the puck going into the net and frames of fans boobs when the puck is on Kunitz' glove or when he's clearly pushing Price into the net after he's made a save?

I stand by my statement. Habs had 59 minutes and 59 seconds to win even if not clowing the whistle was incorrect, which I do not think it was. They did not lose because of that call anymore than Pittsburgh would have after all the bad calls went the Habs way. There was a lot of hockey, including a lot of it the refs tilted the ice the Habs way, other than that call.

In the end bad calls are part of the game. Winners play through them losers complain.

Where were the Habs plays clearing out the bodies? Price was getting swarmed there.

I bet if it was waved off, this would be a thread of people saying "if they didn't have it well enough covered that it popped out, it shouldn't have been blown dead anyway!"

He pretty much had the puck frozen on the second (you can't see the puck anywhere before he's hit), so I'm assuming he means the first, which I don't really see how you can argue either.

Watched all the replays and I've yet to figure out why the ref didn't blow that dead, gotta say. Usually they're good at it, and it turns out on replay you can see it loose somewhere, but I got nothing here. I'd be furious if it was against my team.

If Price is that wound up the league had better take a close look at this officiating crew. He is one of the most composed players in the league.

Habs were screwed...
