chris kelly doing well

I always liked Kelly during his time here in Ottawa, and am really happy for him doing well in Boston. Awesome that they gave him the 'A', and he won a cup.

I hope he doesn't resent us for trading him so we can bring him back later in his career, sorta like we did with Auld. I'm really glad he won the cup, really deserves it.

Well that part worked out for him but he didn't want to leave and I'm sure he was pissed when it happened.

He went out of his way to thank Bryan Murray for trading him to the Bruins at the deadline for an opportunity to win the cup - while he was still on the ice after they won the cup.

Kelly's on pace for 60 points this season. Hard to believe some people complained about his salary wen he was here.

I'm sure he's fine and seemed fine in interviews after BM did a good job taking care of the players he traded, especially fisher. Kelly even brought the cup here this summer

Was going to say this as well, I remember people hating his rather paltry salary while I still think the cap was still at a large number, like 50 million? He's worth every dollar back then and now.

Good ol' Wood Hands. I wonder what the chances of him coming back are.

I wasn't cheering for Boston, but it was nice to see Chara and Kelly win. They were also two of the few players from either team that weren't classless that whole final

good ol wood hands has a 22.50 shooting percentage this yr.
Best on his team. was at the top for them during the playoffs too, around 17 or 18.

I know he was super pissed at the time of the trade. But winning changes ones perspective.

While you guys are the ones that originally convinced me on the type of player he is (battle tank is a pretty damn good and accurate nickname for him haha), I hope he stays in Boston for ever.

I see what you guys were saying when you told us we would be lucky to have him. Even when he isn't scoring he is always doing something right. Intangibles and intelligence is his game for sure.

He is not paid like a 60 point player though, never has been. That wasn't the point.

2 mil for a veteran who brings all the intangibles that Kelly does is a great deal.

He is a great defensive forward and he usually spends more time in the other end than his own, even if he is not scoring. I'm glad to see he is doing well in Boston and wearing the A.

And his primary function here was as a checker. He played 3rd line here before, who wouldn't take him as 2nd line now?

He has a lot of respect for the Sens and the fans and always thanks them.

He seems to be an emotional guy when he discusses it.

I met him right after the trade and he was a bit jittery. He has really settled down and it is showing.

I do think he plays with the Bruins for a few more years but I see both he and Fisher signing one day deals to retire as Sens.

Kells being traded was the first time since Hossa that i was legit upset to see a guy from the Sens leave. I'd love to see him back someday. Condra doesn't look right in the 22 jersey.

He was definitely a great 3C for us. I'd like to bring him back, form a third line around K-Daug, Kelly, and Z.Smith!
