Plekanec under Martin has 140 points in 173 games - the equivalent of 66 points in 82 games.

Plekanec under Carbo had 155 points in 242 games - the equivalent of 53 points in 82 games.

Didn't the Sens have the one of the most potent offense in the NHL for a number of years under Martin also?

When Jacques Martin's teams do great, it's all because of the players.

When Jacques Martin's teams do bad, it's all because of the coach.

If you like circular logic, I have released a book on this topic: How Jacques Martin Ruined Every Player He Has Ever Coached And The Only Reason He Ever Won Anything Is Because He Had Great Players

My brain hurts. But good point. Seems to be the logic around here sometimes.

we are far from having some of the players they had. Alfredsson, Hossa, Havlat etc. He didn't even want to play Spezza which at times was the Sens best player

Was that the year he won the Jack Adams trophy or the other two years he was nominated for it?

Do we have the offensive scoring talent needed to score goals in profusion? Because you're going to allow 3-4 a game with an all out offensive system.
I believe we should be playing the same style like the Sabres did when they had Briere and Drury.

Who the f cares about the Jack Adams Trophy? The Sens had the best team year after year and never won anything under Martin. He never even reached the Cup Finals which Murray was able to do for them in just 2 years
