Stars vs Avs | I can't believe it's not hockey

This is it. The big game. A chance to go on our first winning streak in over a month. Since our team looted a Third Period of Much Goalscoring +3 last game which produced a win I expect our team to stay the same. Why mess with a omg-I-can't-believe-we-are-winning concept?

Landeskog - O'Reilly - Winnik
Duchene - Stastny - Hejduk
Porter - McClement - Kobasew
McLeod - Galiardi - Jones

Quincey - O'Brien
Hejda - O'Byrne
Wilson - Elliot

Varlamov

Player to watch: Kyle "Killer" Quincey. After carefully hiding his mean streak for years, last game he snapped and took Taylor Halls arm clean off with, and this is an understatement, a whirlwind attack with his stick. He then went to the bench and climbed into the stands where he pummeled a 10 year old girl.

LOL...good GDT!

I fear that the 5-2 win left management with the impression that Sacco and Co. are the perfect coaching combination and that all we were missing was Stefan Elliott...they fail to realize that it was the same Sacco and Co that cut Elliott in traning camp.

I truly wonder what Sacco has against putting Landeskog with Stastny and Duchene?

I wouldn't mind seeing a lineup combo of the following

Duchene-Stastny-Landeskog
Winnik/Jones-O'Reilly-Hejduk
Winnik/Jones-McClemment/Galiardi-Kobasew
McLeod-McClemment/Galiardi-Porter/Yip

O'Reilly has shown that he has some pretty nice passing skills, I think that Hejduk could convert some of those passes.

I predict a 4-1 win for the Avs, goals comming from Quincey, Duchene, Stas, Kobasew.

Is it just me or has Kobasew actually played decent the last couple of games, maybe he's finally settling into the Avs system

He is a good bottom 6 guy because he uses his speed to make plays.

His hands are worse than stone though, I'd honestly take Arnason's shot before Kobasew's. Yep... I went there.

I don't care if it's Scratcho or anybody else on our bench, the W the other night really felt good although it's been a pretty bad game by our team, so I just want them to win.
I don't wanna be out of the playoff race after 50 games, let's keep it interesting.
GO AVS GO!

Just win. Dallas hasn't been playing well. Predicting a big game out of Duchene, he always seems to against these guys.

I predict that if we go down 1-0 everyone will talk about Sacco being a horrible coach.

Dallas is limping BADLY. No excuse to lose this one when the Stars are missing their best defenseman and star goalie.

And...we need to make Raycroft pay for his supreme suckitude. Even if it did end up netting us Duchene.

I think Kobachewbacca has more points as a 3rd/4th line player than he does when the coach thought he was a top-6 forward for 10 games.

He's fine as a depth player but he's not going to be anything more and it was silly for Sacco to think otherwise.

Sacco is a horrible coach and its sunday the day before game day. He will suck as a coach when he wakes up tommorow, when he sits down for breakfast, when hes done his jiu-jitsu practice with Sherman and when he walks behind the bench. He will still suck.

I hope for it but im not expecting it. Im not gonna put high expectations on the kid. I just want him to help our entry into the zone on the PP and put up some points. Thats all.

Hopefully our forwards let the defense play D and actually score a goal or 2

Great. Let's make Raycrap look like what he did for us during the 08-09 season.

Need a big time win here tonight. If we win then that shows the Avs might be ready to dig themselves out of this mess and get back into the hunt!

Long live Avs memory! I guess we should thanked Anderson/ Elliot for giving us Landeskog?

Would a blow out tonight be the end to Sacco's reign and the ushering in to the Bruce Boudreau era?
