Rich Winter (Giordano's & Tanguay's Agent) rips the Flames

From a Canucks poster on their board:

"Ritch Winter (agent for a bunch of players including Hodgson, Tanguay, Giordano, Hossa, and some others) has really been ripping into the Flames on Twitter lately. It's pretty funny:"

Jay Feaster did not select a single core player with 56 draft picks as GM in Tampa. How does he qualify 2 restock a team with no prospects?]

Sure it's alright to take shots at the Flames, but after a certain point it starts to look like he has some sort of secret agenda or blind hate.. And two of his top clients signed with us to great terms so maybe its not as bad as hes making it seem.

He contradicts himself by saying 5-7 minimum fix, but 4yrs away from a playoff spot. I think this guy simply likes hearing himself think.

Makes sense, as an agent im sure hes had conversations about the contracts he got Gio and Tangs in comparison to market value..

If I was his client, I dont think I would take kindly to him ripping my team to shreds. I wonder if he realizes it's a team sport, and his clients are core players on this "terrible" team that he's attacking.

He makes some good points but then some of his tweets sound like he's just talking out of his ass. It's one thing to make a few negative posts but geez, this guy makes a few "known posters" look like blind flames homers.

He doesn't even call his own clients trade assets. Looks like someone is going to lose some clients.

I've always gotten the feeling he's a hostile, arrogant person from times I've heard him speak. It's true he's had it in for the Oilers for a loooong time... it goes back to a feud he had with Sather and culminated with Sather helping Lowe become his successor (a job that Winter has always coveted for himself). I kinda get the feeling he's the Alberta version of Mike Gillis.

I did hear Winter mention the Flames at the start of the season. He was talking about these fancy stats/formulas he likes to use. As an example he said that the Flames had "a zero percent" chance of making the playoffs this year. Remember, he said this at the start of the season...

I don't think it would be a good idea for him to publicly advocate trading his clients away. Dude should keep his mouth shut to begin with, though; he's a tool.

Easy to talk smack from a twitter page, guys a hack as far as I am concerned.

Clearly has very little knowledge of Feaster's track record in the Tampa Bay organization.

Just a dumb thing for him to say publicly.

Send a message via MSN to Roughneck
Can't be a very good agent if he only got Gio $4M per year.

I like knocking the Flames as much as any other Oiler fan, but Winter is an arrogant, unprofessional *******. I don't know if I've ever heard someone come across so consistently unlikable as Winter, no matter what forum he uses to expel his self promoting rants.

Assuming they begin a rebuild by the deadline, I honestly don't think it will take as long as he says.
