This is....what to.....idk what to do with myself. We're heading into the 4th round of the NFL draft, and we haven't made a bad pick yet.

Ya thats 4 really solid picks. Like the Foles pick. He should outbeat Edwards (he's terrible) and fight with Kafka for backup spot. Kafka most likely will have it though since he has been in the system for two years already

Awesome.

Also this is shaping up to be a solid draft for 'ol Mr. Reid. I would have liked them to get their hands on Bernard Pierce, but there are other RBs. If I'm the Eagles I look to take Bobby Rainey from WKU in round six or seven. Could wind up being a steal.

Eagles take Boykin. Not a big fan of Foles, but still an A draft for the Eagles.

Well, Eagles fans on other sites were yelling to draft this guy (no idea why). They were pissed when we didnt draft him in the 3rd round. I can see he can really play anything (well CB and even on offense)

The Eagles are doing work right now in this draft. Addressing a lot of holes and needs on the defense and I also don't mind the QB selection as a backup to Vick at some point. A lot of my friends in Arizona that watch him regularly say that hes quite a steal for Philly and an underrated QB on a mediocre team. I don't know much about him myself but I'll take their word on it.

This is the best draft I can remember us having to this point. Hope these guys can stay healthy and turn this ship around.

4 picks left as of now. I predict a RB, OL, S, and another LB.

This has been a very good draft, now they need to learn how to tackle and not to leave people so wide open.

Took Dennis Kelly... a pretty much unknown.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4IawWO5ZdE

They probably took him because of the hair.

EDIT: Found a good read about him. Kinda like the pick. Definitely risky though.

Eagles take Marvin McNutt with their 1st 6th round pick. Looks like trying to find an Avant replacement for the future. Big guy, can catch the ball well, and one to look for, for first downs.

So we've got a Cox and a McNutt now?

I think they gotta draft a big TE with this last pick in hopes of him becoming a red zone threat. Or a RB. I still like Bobby Rainey from WKU, maybe as an undrafted rookie if he doesn't get picked.

Anyone else read the article on Curry on philly.com?

Grew up a huge Eagles fan and didn't want any media in his home because he didn't want to take all of his Eagles decorations down. Must be awesome to be drafted by the team you idolized.

So the last pick is Bryce Brown. Natural talent with him but some MAJOR off and on field issues. Kinda wierd though, supposedly he started out in Tennessee, left to go to Kansas St. Sat till he could play for eligibility. Played a handful of games where he then left there to go back to Tennessee and didnt play football there the past year. Thats the gyst of what I read.

Oh and also he supposedly did performance enhancing drugs (well I guess you can say who doesnt but they found out).

Yup I remember when he was the No. 1 RB prospect coming out of High School back in 09 (if iirc). Its a 7th round pick worth a shot to see what he brings.
Overall I really like what the team did in the draft. Probably the best draft class since 02.

Don't care, this is EXACTLY the kind of low risk/high reward move you take in the 7th round. Bryce Brown has an NFL skill set, no question about it; go back and watch Texas highlights from his freshman year if you want to see for yourself that he has "whoa" ability. It's just a matter of all the other **** off the football field with him.

Yup, he was the top RB prospect coming out of high school in 2009 -- Trent Richardson (you know, the #3 overall pick) was second. Talk about different paths taken.

I agree with you, I'm very satisfied with this draft. Would be a franchise-changer if it can stack up to 2002.

Sounds like former Rutgers QB Tom Savage. Started at Rutgers. Transferred to Arizona and sat out last year. Tried to transfer back to RU but the NCAA blocked him from doing so. Not entirely sure if he is still on Arizona or what. I think he went back to Rutgers to help his family or something so he might just be out of football (don't quote me on that, pure speculation).

EDIT: He didn't have any off-field issues though. Class act IIRC.

Adam Caplan ‏ @caplannfl
Chris Polk agrees to a deal with the #Eagles. Good spot for him as they have an opening for the #2 job.
And the Eagles apparently also signed Cliff Harris CB, Oregon.

Here is some more information and more players:

RB Chris Polk – 2nd round grade, but went unpicked due to serious concerns about his shoulders. Great signing.

CB Cliff Harris – Good playmaker, but lacks ideal speed and has character issues.

S Phillip Thomas – Big time talent from Syracuse, but got suspended from the team and went pro. Has NFL ability.

TE Chase Ford – Loose rumor on him to Eagles. Big guy w/ talent, but didn’t play a ton. Best football is ahead of him.

Seems like Harris and Thomas are two pick time guys (Harris was at one point a 1st round pick based off of his talent) but big problem with them. Harris got caught driving 115 mph with a suspended license, and in the same time got caught with marajuna. Polk seems to might have been a 2nd round pick, but said to have not only shoulder problems, but maybe in a degenerated hip (some people denied it though).

I hope the Chase Ford one is true. Need a big solid #2 TE. I like Harbor but..yea.
