He's been playing with the ones with Babin out. He will make the team.

Babin, Cole, Graham and Curry is pretty deep at the DE position unless I'm missing someone.

Edit: Crap forgot about Hunt and Tapp

It wouldn't surprise me if we went into the season with Cole, Babin, Graham, Curry, Hunt and Tapp all on the roster. We generally love to have d-line depth, and I highly doubt Graham will be cut, considering the investment we've made in him.

I'm pretty interested to see how our CB's shake out. Considering the amount of money Hanson makes, I do wonder if we'll end up giving the nickel corner spot to Boykin, Lindley or Marsh if we feel one of them can win the job away from Hanson. If not, one of those three has to be going to the practice squad if we're going to roll with 6 DE's. I have a feeling Lindley makes the most sense, but it could very well be Marsh. Boykin will probably be a special teamer for the majority of the season.

Doubt they keep 6 DE's. I think Tapp gets traded/released depending on injuries.

Lindley has no shot at making the team barring a miracle. Boykin, Asomugha, and Hanson have been the only guys to play the slot corner position thus far in camp. Marsh has been getting some first team reps on the outside with Asomugha in the slot. Cliff Harris has been playing well too. And Brandon Hughes was on the team last year too. Lindley is way down on the depth chart.

Risers in training camp: CB Boykin, FB Havili, QB Kafka. This is the week when the players start to separate prior to 1st preseason game

Not just from Dave either. From most reports, Kafka has looked REAL good. Glad to hear that since you know Vick is going to get hurt...and we all know Edwards sucks.

I always thought Kakfa was a great west coast guy pick. He's super accurate short range, with the weapons we have on offense, he should have no problem filling in if Vick gets hurt.

Great to hear about Kafka, one thing Reid gets right is QBs, I never question him about that. Boykin I'm really excited about too, I loved that pick and felt he could make an impact ASAP. The FB is ultimately good, our offense always ran better with a FB pass option out of the backfield, and hopefully he can block...though I'm disappointed it's not Schmitt stepping up, I always liked Owen, and wanted us to draft him out of WVU a few years back.

Great news either way!

Meh...its a kid that has had injury concerns but can play outside & press fairly well. Was a 3rd round pick by the Colts in 2010 from USC.

He fits what they are trying to do with this defense and they gave up two LBs who weren't making this roster anyway.

But seriously we traded two guys who had no shot at making our team for a guy who has fallen out of favor with a new coaching staff and a pick. Can't hurt to see what he has. Probably a roster long shot but you never know.

Apparently Reid isn't at practice today for some reason.

Sabres/Bills fan dropping by just to wish the Eagles organization the best after hearing the awful news.

God bless the Reid family, Eagles organization and anyone else touched by this tragedy.

I'm not a football fan. Never have been. But it's times like this that really make you realize that these are just games. Seeing so many people involved with the sport, even rival teams, showing their support for Andy Reid and his family is a beautiful thing.

No parent should ever have to endure the loss of a child. Such tragedy.

Preseason begins today. I always like watching the 1st quarter to see how the starters do. Should be interesting to see how the O does against the Steelers D.
