I cautioned the same thing with Blair Jones, and I'll do it again for our new guys.

Players tend to get a boost when they change teams, but once they've settled in, that's the time to truly begin assessing their contribution to the team.

@GMillerTSN Thanks Gord! I can't score, my Dad couldn't not get scored on, I guess @Mikkelson12 is the only hope.
At least he has a sense of humor about it.

Wiener hats in the St. Louis Blues is a new phenomenon, as seen by the look on Al MacInnis' face.

Side note: Al MacInnis is a badass.

For the many asking, NIA beat ERIE 13-4 with F Connor Crisp in G. Crisp named 1st star, NIA players congratulated him post game.

Connor designated backup because usual backup diagnosed with concussion last night. Affiliate goalies (Jr. C and midget) in playoffs, N/A.

Erie starting goalie was injured in first two minutes of game @ Niagara. Erie owner/GM Sherwood Bassin apologized for the circumstances.

How can you expect Tampa Bay to make the playoffs this year without any Floridians?

btw, Toronto Marlies head coach Dallas Eakins? Born in Dade City, FL.

What does everyone listen to for Hockey News/Discourse etc?

I listen to the PuckPodcast and every now and then when I can stream it online to Corcoran's show....

There needs to be better Hockey podcasts...The PuckPodcast is ok but they tend to be very West coast bias in their coverage...

Downie has 2 more points tonight, both assists.

Edit: They just added his assist, so 3 points it is.

Brad Marchand spent the all-star break at Disney World. Mostly at the Safari park (Animal Kingdom).

Marchand is also a hunter. He has shot bear for sport.

He is not welcome here.

Nay. I'd rather have them make those Swedish concussion preventing helmets (see: http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1056455) and better mouth guards mandatory and introduce hybrid icing.

Interesting point. Equipment manufacturers want to make money and players want to do what they think they want to do.

I don't doubt the technology exists to decrease concussions, but the money may be getting in the way.

But the solution may not be with Bauer or Reebok.

Either the league or the IIHF is going to have to leverage their corporate partners into adopting better, more expensive technology, which will cut into those companies profits.

Neither the NHL or IIHF employs scientists, (at least with any balls) to the best of my knowledge, which puts them on weak footing to argue the science.
