They have 41% of cap in Getzlaf, Perry, Hiller, and Ryan.

Crazy.

When is Ryan due for his next contract? Because that is pretty nuts.

Ha, I loved how he threw his arms up like he was pissed at Fleury for not making the save. I think that was his last game in Pittsburgh... Good stuff.

The Erie Otters are seriously cleaning house.

assistant coach Peter Sidorkiewicz, the equipment manager, and the PbP guy are all out.

I lol'd at PbP guy being out.

I always pick the Otters for some reason when I do Be a Pro in NHL13, 12, whatever. Don't really know why. Like the name I guess.

I just realized that Vinny is allegedly just as big as Rick Nash. Nash looks like he's way bigger...

Vinny: 6'4, 215 lbs
Nash: 6'4, 213 lbs

I guess the years on Vinny's contract are worth 15 pounds or so.

Something that I've been finding, after long suspecting it, is that no one has any ****ing clue about how someone's supposed to skate. You're supposed to skate like a speed skater, but keep your elbow as close to your chest as possible and your chest up; heel click but keep your skate low to the ice; upper body does things unrelated to skating, but trunk and arm movement involved; all of this while insisting that both hands be on the stick, and the stick be on the ice, etc.

http://www.coachesinfo.com/index.php...rts&Itemid=243

Maybe, and I know this will butthurt a lot of people, there's few hard and fast rules for skating. People have different proportions and builds, so there can't be any one 'perfect' technique.

To simplify, go side-to-side with arm and leg movement and don't think too much about it.

Or pray you're built like Mike Gartner, watch a ****-load of video of him skating, profit.

Nash just moves way better.

I also don't get that Brendan Morrow trade at all, like, how does that even make your team better?

One is conditional upon Murray re-signing, but nevertheless I get the impression from Sharks fans that Murray was too slow and taking up a roster spot that could have been better used by Braun or Petrecki.

Still, this together with the Morrow trade still makes Pitt a better team. Pitt's window to win another cup is definitely right now with Malkin's contract coming to an end in 2014.

Projected top 6/top4:

Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis
Morrow-Malkin-Neal

Orpik-Letang
Murray-Martin
