Weber's goal makes up for the one he gave the Oil. Of all the shots towards the net tonight, that was probably the least likely to go in. Thanks Khabi.

That's the reason goal scorers get paid the money they do because Tootoo, Smithson and Fisher all golden chances and can't convert

The consistency of Colin Campbell is demonstrated here yet again. If Klein screws up, call him on it. If Shea screws up, call him on it as well.
He and Suter play 26 mins + a night against all the top lines. And they still dont screw up like Klein. They get slack cause they do amazing things 90 percent of the time. They mess up everyonce in a while cause they are human. Klein messes up a **** ton more than they do and he plays 18-21 mins a night not against the best. And he has no ****ing offense ability what so ever!

Weber just did what no forwards on our team can do. Hes our captain and that goal shows it.

Guessing we won't see Geoff for a while. Hanging his shoulder like a dislocation. Don't think we'll really miss him though. He's brought a big bag of nothing nothing all season.

He didn't. We have two 6'5 Scandinavian goalies.

Enter Chris Mueller.

Lots of push in this period. Gotta keep this net presence going.

He didn't. The ice tracker on nhl.com is just messed up.

Edit:

For some reason the game summary page is currently showing Rinne's time on ice is 23 seconds. The last time I looked it said about 8 minutes.

Nice hold there by Erat. Wish we'd see more of that.

I'd trade a nice dangle to get into a better scoring position, with a shot on net.

We outplayed Edm and all we got out of it is tied when we could have had 4-1 lead

You knew the pluggers would resort to their normal selves eventually.

Klein is a whipping boy ... deserved or not. Even when he does the right thing, he gets roasted here. As usual, when Weber screws up the sheep simply shut up and ignore it. It's called consistency. When a player, no matter what the name on the back of the jersey is, screws up he deserves to get called on it.

Weber's goal is one we'd be lambasting our goalie if it were against us. A simple wrister, unscreened, that Khabi didn't stop. It's the only time all night Weber got the puck on net, unlike Suter with three SOG and Klein with two.

Checking behindthenet ... Weber, Suter, Klein all with positive QUALCOMP stats ... Klein with a negative QUALTEAM stat. (Cube with the best QUALCOMP number of our blueliners)

My point was it's better than our normal pass that hops over the stick and goes the other way.

Just think, we could have drafted Anton Gustafsson instead of Pickard. He was the next forward selected after our pick in 2008.

I'm all for being fair, but the mistakes and the play are not equal. If you could only keep two D-men on our team, everyone here would pick Weber and Suter and wave bye-bye to Klein in a heartbeat.

Klen is playing better this year and overall, I think he's doing a good job. But if you don't want to get called out, you gotta avoid big gaffes, particularly against the weaker lines.

He's the #3 d-man and a #3-4 on quite a few teams in the league. It's a deafening silence when the mancrush objects screw up. Blinders, mustard colored glasses, call it whatever you want, but they are on. During this losing streak, Weber has been making more mistakes than any of the usual whipping boys, not that the boards would dare mention that.

Klein is usually out against the 2nd line and the top opposition PP unit.

And as I type this, Weber watches Horcoff blast by him. Luckily he missed.
