I encourage you all to take a look at the piece Ben Fowlkes at MMAFighting has going right now. He spent a year at Grudge Training Centre and is putting out an article every week about it. Some of the best MMA writing I've read.

Not totally sure he has his history correct, but I dig it. For all that Tyson is a strange, strange dude, his smile is contagious and, even after all that's happened to him, he still has the enthusiasm / immaturity of a 10-year old. Would have loved to see a freak athlete like Tyson at UFC 1 back in '93, and I continue to be fascinated by him. Thanks for the video.

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere...

King Mo cut

Sounds like it had more to do with his comments after his hearing than just because of the failed test/suspension

Jake Shields moving back to MW, got to think this is a good move for him, 170 just didn't look good for him.

4 fights at WW in the UFC and he hasn't looked particularly good in any of them. This seems like the right move.

That's a legitimate question (do you understand English?) when someone does not properly complete a form. Very reasonable that misunderstanding the form could lead to an error. Mo's taking offence to the question just shows that he was, in fact, fully able to comprehend the form but chose not to disclose. Sort of a dumb thing to do...

Translation: I understood it perfectly I just don't respect the fact that I am supposed to comply to compete here.

That video was great and I agree 100% with everything you said here. Tyson's long been one of my favourite personalities in sports.

Anyone else here use Wikipedia instead of Sherdog to follow events? It seems like today they've overhauled the event pages and instead they all direct to one giant sucky article.
For example:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_142

Wow, that does suck. I always would use wikipedia. It was a great way for me to quickly check on fighters records and stuff.

I think Wiki must've changed it back because I'm on there this morning and it's the same as it's always been with individual pages for each event.

Yeah it's back to normal. I was in a foul mood last night because of this so I'm glad it's back.

So I guess Rampage is trying to get fired or something. I suppose that's one way to get out of his contract if he's unhappy with it.

I laugh at a lot of the stupid things Rampage does but I don't know how anyone can find this one funny.

Still don't think it's enough to get fired though. Maybe if it was someone else but not Rampage......The road rage incident, leaving to film a movie when the Rashad fight was already booked, sexually harassing reporters, badly missing weight, talking **** about the UFC, admitting to using TRT even though there's nothing wrong with him, etc. He's untouchable.

He's definitely trying to get fired. Frankly, I think the guy's a piece of ****. Look at all the stuff he does and what other explanation is there?
