Van resident I take it? Some friends and I went down for UFN 24 which was killer, I'll definitely be making the trip down for that

I went down for UFN 24 and will be making the drive down to Seattle again. Seahawks play on that Sunday too, should be a fun weekend.

BC resident. I would've went for the David/Nog card but me and a buddy were just in Vegas for UFC 126 and we were already going to 131 in June in Vancouver so it just didn't fit in to our plans. But with Vancouver out of the picture for the time being I'm very happy this card will be in Seattle.

That's awesome, a fight with Aldo for the belt is probably right around the corner. I think one win for Edgar and he earns himself a title shot.

I said before that I would like him to fight Korean Zombie in a #1 contenders fight. There's a UFC on FX card in December that could use an exciting main event..

Not many interesting fights for him at 145 but I guess it's a move he had to make after two straight losses. Hopefully he can win his next fight and set up a title fight against Aldo.

I didn't even know they were doing another event in December until I saw this post. That makes it 4 events in December.

So they'll have an event on Fuel, FOX, and FX on back to back to back weekends. That's insane. At least all three of them will be free.

I'd rather see him fight mendes & save the zombie for the next shot. 145 isn't chalked full of high end competitors, eliminating either Edgar or the zombie in that fight would be a mistake.

Aldo/Koch vs Zombie
Edgar vs. Mendes

winner of Siver/Yagin could also be a good opponent for Frankie at 145...

Well Cody Mac seems to want break Edgar in at 145....i guess he doesn't remember the last wrestle/box guy he faced Edgar vs Mendes or Porier please.

And JJ having a lot of explaining to do. If he gets popped for roids ill laugh. Edit : Hendo is out...Jones offered Machida, Shogun or Sonnen and turned them down. UFC 151 in jeopardy. Reported via twitter by Meltzer and FRB. UFC 151 cancelled.

Ha, MacKenzie's a joke.

I like Mendes as an opponent but not Poirer. I'd rather see him fight someone like Siver or Oliveira if they win their upcoming fights than Poirer. Ricardo Lamas is another decent option. Diego Nunes would be alright too.

I don't mind the Mendes fight. I still prefer Zombie, but Mendes is fun too. nobody else is really an attractive option, IMO.

I defended Jones when 'DeathFromAbove' said the same thing a little while ago but after reading the recent interview where he talks about money, I have to agree. Rampage only fighting for the money was one of the big storylines leading up to their fight because Jones kept mentioning it but now he's saying the same thing.

Jones before the Rampage fight:

Quote:
"Unlike you, MMA is not something I do because of money. It's a way of life for me and I would never disrespect the integrity of that."
Jones a couple days ago:

Quote:
"I fight to make money, quite frankly. If I was to not evolve with my time and be completely ignorant to my finances and pay-per-view sales, taxes, investing, it would be a shame. I refuse to be a broke athlete when I retire."
I'm still a big fan of the guy and love to watch him fight but I see where people are coming from now. I still don't think it's really a good reason to hate him but I understand why some people are a bit annoyed with some of the things he says.
