Luke Adam scored twice while Zack Kassian picked up his first career NHL goal as Buffalo responded with a big effort in a 5-1 W against Washington. The Sabres are 7-5-1 in the month of November.
Next up for the Sabres (13-9-1,27pts,3rd in NE) are the New York Islanders (6-11-4,16pts, 5th in ATL). This is the first of four meetings between these teams this season. Buffalo enters action fresh off of an impressive win against the Capitals. The Sabres are now an even 6-6-1 on home ice. The opponent Tuesday night in Buffalo, are the Islanders. New York comes to town with the fewest road wins in the NHL, with just 1. Interestingly enough, that lone road win came in their last game, a 3-2 W in New Jersey. Can the Sabres make it two in a row at home or will the Islanders make it two in a row on the road?
