I know, but I assumed the asker was North American. The rest of the world has been promised to get full playoffs on GCL.
Sweet. Anyone know if it's likely to be any cheaper to sign up nearer the time? If not I'm best just forking out the $80 now and getting the rest of the regular season. Bit disconcerting that they don't make mention of the playoffs on their FAQs. You'd think that would be a pretty frequently asked question.
So, I already paid up front for NHL GameCenter this year, and decided to cancel for next.
However, today I bought a smartphone (Samsung Galaxy II on Sprint). I wanted to see how good the quality was. So, I downloaded the GameCenter App, but whenever I try to log-in or register, it tries to make me pay. Is there some app with a different name I need to be looking for?

There's a special version of the nhl gamecenter app for verizon people. That could be the reason why I can watch the whole game for free (I think). When I open the app there's a popup that mentions that they charge for data, but I'm on an unlimited plan. I guess the popup warning is for people on tiered data accounts.
Is anyone getting advertisements prior to the games playing? I don't remember having these before...
I have been. I find it interesting how their stance this year was you're only paying for streaming games and not the commercials/intermissions (Even though I thought the intermissions were part of the games), yet now that it seems they are being more lenient, they are doing their own bit of advertising.
The ads seemed to pop up on the first game I select to watch...and that would be it until I signed out of my account. Now, it seems like any game/feed I switch to will throw an ad at me.
It's 15-30 seconds of annoyance...but still, I'm paying for this service, I shouldn't be bombarded by their advertisements.
Anyone send them an e-mail about it? I sent them one. I think it's one of those things where if the consumer base speaks up we can get it to go away, but if we don't we'll soon get Hulu'd. Who wants to wait a few minutes before watching a live game? Not I.
These pre-roll NHL commercials must be something that is only done on the web version. I don't see them when I stream the games on Roku or the PS3.
Here's something that I have been noticing as of late: The games where commercial breaks/intermission reports are not shown used to have this obnoxiously loud NHL store commercial, and once that commercial is over, it would go back to that soft background music until the broadcast resumes. I've not seen that one for a quite a while,.... for which I am grateful.
maybe someone can help me. I don't think i should be blacked out of tonights wings vs kings game. Kings games on FS West are usually blacked out but tonights game is on LIVE ON KCOP-13 and nhl.com says Your local team is playing and televising the game on a local over-the-air station and you are located within that station's signal, which i dont think i can get that in Vegas...

I haven't had to do it in a VERY long time, but they used to black me out all the time. I'd call them, they'd clear the IP they have me logged in at and it'd work fine.
