I'd be upset if I was a habs fan.

I mean, did you see what Crosby did to Foligno? and he got nothing, nadda, zilch.

Oh the humanity!

Now, the Bruins are enjoying some success, and CLEARLY the NHL has an axe to grind with one of its most storied and successful franchises. Jacobs is Bettman's boss! Colin Campbell is Gregory's father! Shanahan is just a puppet! It has nothing to do with the fact that -- GASP -- the Bruins may have assembled a better team.
I remember back in the mid-eighties when Chris Nilan was a Hab, Canadiens fans were saying that there wasn't one Bruin that would make their illustrious team, not even Ray Bourque. To say that they're delusional is an understatement. Maybe it has to do with being a one sport city but it's just really embarrassing when the majority of a fanbase has their values so confused and fanatical. I'd liken it to religious extremism.

nope...that probably has something to do with it. But it mostly has to do with the fact that I typically do not like big cities and MTL is pretty big. I used to live in Ville St. Laurent on Cote-Vertu blvd which is super busy all the time....too many bipeds for my liking.

man, it's MTL and hockey....it is a religion there. They sure are rabid about their team. But what always made my brow furl was how their beloved team would seem to not exist once they were out....all the thousands of hab flags would just simply vanish overnight.

As fun as it is to laugh at Habs fans... I don't think Pacioretty had any ill-intent. Nor do I think he's a dirty ******* of a player.

But that was a bad hit and deserved a suspension. It's pretty ****ing cut and dry. I don't see what the argument is. I said the same when it was Paille that did it... And he received a very deserved suspension. Good!

Is it not important that hits to the head are eliminated from the game, regardless of who the offender is?

Are we allowed to post quotes from other boards? Because I just found the most hypocritcal post I've ever read in my life.

I feel pretty honored all they're talking about is us fans and our Bruins, all it does is show fear and envy. Instead of talking about the hit and actual opinions, they're going to talk about how if Pacioretty was a Bruin he wouldn't have been Shanabanned. That right there, fear, is just form of respect. Let them cry.

One of our best centers almost lost his career, and our last elite center did lose his career, how many games did those 2 plays have in total again? Yeah, it must be soo tough to be a Canadiens fan.

Never seen ^ that clip before But it fits. Bad hit, bad team, bad Hiphop.
3 games are fine. I love me some Hab suspensions with my morning coffee.
Gotta hurry home later to catch Propaganda 990 for some comic relief.

I don't know - I guess I'll find out?

Maybe I'll be suspended from these forums for the next 3 games?

Remember? You're a Bruins fan, everyone loves us so you won't get any games.

Habs boards will subsequently pm the owner of the boards in outrageous outrage.

No you can't. It's clearly stated in the site rules section. You know, the ones you read and accept before you join.

LOL!!! You are right....in fact, hats off to you on your previous post to anticipate a suspension on the hit......I was expecting 2 games at the most......

But you have to admit, it makes for great sports talk today! Hold on to your hats

Yah, it will take a lot for me to move the family to another city......Montreal is a phenomenal place to live. My work has brought me around the world and across North America.....

one of the few cities left in NA where you can raise a family downtown without the worries of other cities. Now, being a Bruins in this city..........well.....

Agreed, the only problem with that hit was that it didn`t happen on Cooke

Funny they want Hab fans to stand up when all their players seem to do is fall down.

How many sponsors have pulled out in Canada over this?

How many 911 call where made?

When is the police investigation?

Where is the outrage over this brutal hit?

What a joke the Montreal media and fans are.

bad hit and certainly suspension worthy. glorydaze already made note of this in the habs board, but i think the comparison to dan paille's hit on sawada is about as close as a hit gets to pacioretty's.

considering the fact that pacioretty's hit was nearly identical to paille's, and using his 4 game suspension as precedent, you'd be hard pressed to logically oppose a 3 game suspension (regardless of whether or not letang "glanced in MaxPac's direction," you habs fans )

Come on now. Don't let facts get in the way of sensationalized ramblings and conspiracy theories.

I love the Shannyvids so much. You can still rail about how it's arbitrary and they're all out to get you, but the rulings are so well articulated you just look like a goober if you do.

Since I had yesterday off, and today feels like a Monday, glancing at the Habs board about the suspension was a much needed comic relief.

So

much

whining
