agreed, I stated this coming into the season. People were exclaiming the virtues of Sjogren (who??), Beagle, and Eakin.

I saw a hole on the top 6, at C or W. Doesnt matter which. We just need another solid top 6 forward.

Would love to get Marleau and Murray from SJ somehow.

who wouldn't? Those are "Dale" type players, IMO.

Semin, Schultz, and our 1st. A true hockey trade.

Which would be the most valuable position to upgrade between 1RW, 2C and 2LW?

I would think that 2LW is more important right now, but I'm not so sure if MoJo can turn into an excellent 2C. Still, If we could keep Semin and add at 2LW it would be great, otherwise we are adding another hole at 2RW, no?

I suppose it's best to keep a player like Brouwer at 1RW in order to spread the skill around. However, upgrading that RW spot w/o a Semin trade would be great as Brouwer could be on line 2 with Semin and MoJo.

Semin though is just not trustworthy IMO. I'd rather have Marleau or Ryan.

2LW is the last position we need to fill. 2C, then 2RW(or 1RW).

When Ovy is playing like himself, 2LW gets shorted ice time because he's playing more. Semin/Mojo is the problem with the 2nd line. Weak on the puck, frail, and can't stay on their skates. I wonder if Mojo can switch to wing and succeed? Mojo-Marleau-Brouwer

I personally think Majo would make a fine winger, a skilled winger that is. He is still growing so he is prone to getting knocked around. I know he was drafted to be the second line center, but might as well give it a try. If anything, utilize is speed on the wing. That looks like a good line, but what would Marleau cost? At this point I wouldn't see SJ trading him.

He should've gotten cut right away for his "I won't hit Crosby" statement. What a god damned idiot.

If GMGM manages to unload that contract AND get something back, he truly is the king of kings.

This team really needs another Brooks Laich-type forward. An honest, responsible player that can play both wing and center, win battles along the boards, and has the skill set to make an offensive contribution. Basically, we need Eakin 3-4 years down the development path.

I think that'd do wonders for the second line.

Yep, I've been advocating that trade for a little while now. Ruutu would do the trick as well.

Stoll/Ruutu-Mojo-Knuble would cover up pretty darn well for Mojo's weaknesses.

Its hard not to think with they way we are playing (bad) and the way we will want to play from now on (hard, dritty, dirty goals) we will make a trade soon

But then again, thats why I am sitting behind a comp

But GMGM

I can't see Schultz or Hammer lasting long. Maybe Hammer sits with Poti.

updated caps insider illustrates the change in party line (hammer was a healthy scratch to day-to-day) overnight. I'll continue to hold out hope.
