You'll be lucky to be reimbursed mileage.

If you are McPhee, do you pull the trigger on:

MoJo, the Colorado 1st and Braden Holtby for Ryan?

Nah. If you're willing to move those pieces, call Nashville instead.

NSH wouldn't want Holtby but otherwise agree. If you're ready to make that big a move, Ryan's not the guy I'm targeting.

Don't think I'd make that move still. I want that COL 1st.

All three players/picks are deal breakers.

Wow. Looks like Bobby Ryan is approaching the Eric Staal region of overratedness around here.

3 30 goal seasons as a 24 year old. Legitimate power forward.

Not sure how he's overrated. He's a younger, better player than Semin on a better contract.

Less Incarcerated, but more Buzz:

"The other player to look for...Alex Semin. Is he a Dale Hunter type player? Many are whispering that Hunter will force a bold move to wake up the Caps at some point here...Semin is the overwhelming favorite to be moved. Look to Detroit and LA."

The players I'd most feasibly want from Anaheim are not part of the problem, and unlikely they're moved. But I do think Sbisa, Koivu, and Lydman would all fit well into the current team structure.

Ah Eklund. Might as well say "Many on HFBoards are whispering..." So worthless. But funny and interesting.

I get that DH has paid close attention to the Caps, but based on what he's said and what I've read about his coaching style... wanting to really get to know his players... I don't see him forcing any moves before he's even spent a week with the current roster.

Plus, I get the sense that GMGM understands what a big deal firing Bruce is to that locker room. The dust needs to settle. Change is good, but too much at once can be damaging.

Who said anything about an imminent move? Who said anything about a week?

Stoll + Scuderi for Semin + picks?

LA is a tough as we're both against the cap.

Semin + Schultz + picks for Brad Stuart?

I'm not sure to which Stuart you are referring, but does he make $9.45M? That's a hell of a lot of salary to send to a team up against the cap.

Sorry, not picking on you. Eklund just gets my Irish up. My main point was that I actually think this is not what will happen at least not anytime soon.

It may be bunk and it may have some merit, but he didn't suggest a move any time soon. He didn't provide a timeline at all.

Sorry, second trade is with Detroit. Brad Stuart. They have about $5.5 in space and Stuart carries a hit of $3.75.

Ah, I see. I had no idea that Detroit was so far under the cap. Surprising.

dashtray... dashtary? Did he fix that, like JaPSer became JaSPer all of a sudden one day after years and years?
