Parse out for the season

Another tough break for the guy. Would've been nice to see a healthy Parse for a year.

Quote:
Per Hammond:
Scott Parse, who has played only nine games this season, will have season-ending surgery on both hips in the near future. Parse has a history of problems with his hips. He played five games last season before having hip surgery, returned late in the season but, those within the team said privately, was never 100-percent healthy.

Well, that ends that. Good luck to you Parse, wherever you end up. He played well for us, he definitely found a way to put up numbers in the limited time we had him. A shame he couldn't stay healthy. I wouldn't be surprised if he racked up some points in a Purcell like fashion for someone else.

He wasn't a good fit here, but you never like to see a player with chronic injuries.

At this point I just hope this doesn't turn into a lifelong disability for the kid. Get well Scott.

To make matters worse for Parse, his contract expires at the end of this season and he's eligible to become unrestricted. I see him signing with a European club and possibly rejuvenating his career overseas before coming back and finding an NHL job.

Lotta hip surgery. Poor guy. That will never fully go away either. Kinda like messing up your knees.

Same here. Hope he takes care of himself first and foremost.

That was my thoughts too. He may get a training camp invite, but as far as an actual contract offer, likely have to try overseas. He goes over there and rips it up for a year and then is willing to sign a 1-year deal at the league minimum or something, he could be back in the NHL by 2013-2014. Anything earlier would be a surprise to me.

Man, poor guy gotta feel bad for him here I think that end's his time as a King. Good luck to Scotty wherever he ends up next, he is too skilled not to land an NHL gig somewhere.

Really gotta feel for Parsey, at full health I feel like he is easily a 20 goal scorer. Really too bad.

Sad, sad, sad.

I'm guessing this pretty much ends his career as a king. I just hope it doesn't end his nhl career.

Take your time and come back 100% Scott, and the very best of luck to you!

REALLY Tough break. Work your butt off to make it to the NHL, then become constantly injured. Hope he recovers 100% and sticks around somewhere at least.

This really sucks. He can't seem to catch a break and he's had so many injuries at such a young age.
