Stupid move because they already have overpaid Seabrook and that money they should set aside for Leddy + a couple of wingers (maybe Saad and Morin will warrant a raise in a few years and salary cap will be lower).

And Leddy is already a marquee dman, probably better than whoever they'll acquire.

It would take Hammer AND Sharp to get the Preds to deal Suter to a division rival. It's not happening.

Or simply Kane/Toews.

They take very few penalties and had a couple of god-awful games - a quarter of their total PK goals given up were in one game against Vancouver.

As to the rumor, Campbell would be a good acquisition.

Not at all. We're in a period of win-now. We have the best goaltender and the best defensive pairing in the league. We're a couple of forwards away from being as much a contender as anyone in the league, and we have owners that have pledged to pay Suter, weber, Rinne AND whatever we need to add in terms of offense. Why would Nashville set themselves back five years that way? For the benefit of a hated division rival?

That doesn't help us make the playoffs this year, AND it doesn't make Weber want to stay long term.

Maybe I'm off on a limb, but Jan Hejda has been grossly under performing in Colorado, partially because of how much he's relied on. I hope the Avalanche don't trade him, but when you go 3-9-1 in November, changes will happen...

Seabrook and Kruger to the Ducks for Ryan

Then flip Ryan and something else to the Preds for Weber

Can't think of any better fits than Visnovsky or Gleason. Maybe Weaver.

Hammer won't be moved. We want to add, not trade important players away. This Hjammer hating has to stop...

It's ESPN - take it for what it's worth

We will add a guy like Gleason, that's it.

Sharp is not available. He just signed longterm, is well liked and one of our leaders. No way we trade him

Give us a borderline top 6 forward and Gleason is yours.

Because we're not going to make a cup run with the defense we have right now. Need a bit more depth on the back end.

To

D Jordan Leopold ($3M)
LW/C Jochen Hecht ($3.75M UFA)

If this doesn't help your PK I don't think anything will.... Hawks get a legit top-4 defender in Leopold, and a terrific penalty killing C/W with sound offensive ability in Jochen Hecht (one of the best PK men in the game IMO).

Frolik-Toews-Hossa
Stalberg-Kane-Sharp
Bickell-Hecht-Brunette
Carcillo-Kruger-Mayers
X. Beach, Pirri

Keith-Seabrook
Leddy-Leopold
Hjammer-Montodor
X. O'Donnell, Lepisto

To

C David Bolland ($3.375M)
D John Scott ($512K UFA)

Sabres get a solid two-way centreman with grit to help out our 3rd line, as well as a bruising d-man to play enforcer when needed on a team lacking toughness/grit in John Scott.

Vanek-Roy-Pominville
Leino-Adam-Stafford
Ennis-Bolland-Kaleta
Gerbe-Gaustad-McCormick
X. Ellis, Tropp, (Boyes-LTIR)

Regehr-Myers
Ehrhoff-Sekera
Weber-Grags
X. Scott, Brennan, McNabb

Deal?
