The next two games are going to be huge. The first go-rounds against Ottawa and Phoenix were the two worst games of the season. If there's improvement, we should see it this week.

I'm predicting that we win both of these games. The Jets are just so much more improved as a team than those two previous games.

I would go further to say that if we want to have a shot at the playoffs, this Sens game is not a 'must win' but it's close.

We have to start beating lesser teams. We show up for the contenders but seem to be flat against teams we should beat.

No offense to Ottawa, but I will be extremely surprised if they don't come back to earth and a more realistic winning percentage. Either way, they are one of the teams we need beat out for a playoff spot.

Agree with you here, Jet.

I think we'll have our hands full tonight with a hard working Sens team, but I do believe we can walk away with the 2 points tonight.

This is our first home game of our 13 of 15 game home stand, we must begin taking advantage of this home stand tonight. I feel pretty confident the team wants to do everything it takes to have a great December and really put themselves in the playoff race headed forward here.

Hoping for this to happen tonight. I can't seem to find the paint drawing of that incident though, anyone know which one I'm talking about? It would fit so perfectly in this thread.

Definitely one of our more humor filled GTD's and right up there with the thread where we were full on potty mouth and letting out a bit of anger early in the season when we were losing a **** of allot

very nicely done Makeshift and you are adding to the patchwork quilt that is our GDT's!!

Ottawa clipped us last time and we need to return the favor and come out hungry tonight to get off to a good start on this home stand. I don't think we want to go 2 games below .500 or it will be a tougher grind to come out of this home stand in the thick of things. A win tonight and we are poised for our run.

Ottawa can pour in the goals so we need to limit our time in the box because guys like Karlsson, Gonchar, and Spezza thrive on the PP and are easier to manage at even strength. That is usually the case but it is more pronounced with Ottawa since their power play is running at a 20% efficiency rating which puts them in the top 5 teams in the league

controlled aggression with no bad penalties and a maximum of 4 minors and I like our chances against a team that we are competing against for the last playoff spots. our key will be to take it to them and make guys like Karlsson and Gonchard defend us vs. us defending them.....let’s get in on the fore check...cycle and make it happen

on a side note i popped over to the Sens GDT and thought this post was some good clean fun:

Time to build on that win against the HurriKanes. Let's just hope the refs are a bit more Fehr tonight.

As you all know, we beat the Jets last time around. We smashed their faces in the Glass. We brought a Flood of goals. We even brought a Little finesse in the game. They Kulda walked away with the win, but there was almost the sense that they didn't want it.

Now, to be Fehr (yes, I'm using him twice. Deal with it.), the Jets aren't exactly a powerhouse. But would you count them out from the getgo? Wellwood you? Me neither. So let's focus on the game at hand. A lot of their offense runs through center so if we can study Antropov-logy, start with a blank Slater and just score the way we know we can, we'll be okay. And we just Mason. Do you think so? Oduya? Me, too. Let's rock this.

Seriously you guys? Why aren't all GDT's done in Paint?

This is the best GDT yet this season. I know it's overused, but EPIC WIN.

With the giant homestand that is the month of December it would be nice to start off with a win. Not just a win, mind you, but a DECISIVE win. Like, to the tune of 8-1 Jets, or something similar. This is a team we must beat - that's two more points for the Jets play-off run, and two less for the Sens post-season hopes.

Oh yeah, and I'm going to the game! Yay! Mrs. Monty scored P1 seats for this one!!!! I am pumped, so much so that I wore a Jets T-shirt to work instead of the usual button-up attire.

Probably a reference to the first few Anti-Ottawa posts following a 4-1 loss.

Props for paint skills!

Remember the interview he did after the 2nd period of the Caps game about how he forgot how much it hurt to block shots.

That's because it went through the skate padding and created a huge gash along the shin.

He was top 10 in shot blocking last year and only missed 1 game. It really has been a horrible run of luck this year.

So is stubhub or kijiji like the only way to get jets tickets now? Or is there something else I can try?

I did not know this. I knew as a group we were very good last year, but didn't know The Hains was 9th in the league.

What is with all of the Ottawa fans posting in our thread?

Don't they have their own board, or is it also in rebuilding mode?
