ROSTER NEWS: The Flyers have recalled (F) Brayden Schenn and (D) Kevin Marshall from Adirondack of the AHL. Also, F Andreas Nodl was claimed off waivers by Carolina.
I hope schenn can put together a decent showing because that trade is looking worst and worst every minute. I have a feeling he could be dealt by the end of the year/ offseason if he doesnt show something.

Twelve healthy forwards on the roster .... how exactly do you build four lines without Shelley?
I am just upset that kid has to play with these guys.
I also believe we waived wrong player yesterday. If we waived the right guy he would not be claimed by Canes.
Even though Couturier is on the 4th line and playing with pretty ****** players, he has been getting time on the top 9.
Schenn really needs to do something though. I personally believe he looked pretty damn bad during his first short stint with us. I dont expect him to put up a ton of points at the moment, but not looked underwhelmed like he was.

I'm fairly sure that Nödl was waived with the intention of him being picked up. We need a contract spot.
Edit: It's the games where both Shelley and Rinaldo plays that having Couturier on the fourth line is a truly bad thing, it would be helpful if Zolnierczyk could play center. Hopefully Jagr has recovered before Friday though. Also, I'm fairly certain that if these are the lines to play against Anaheim, Couturier will see some shifts on the first line instead of Zolnierczyk.

I didn't say bust. Schenn may prove to be a very productive player but if he isnt an asset for a team that is currently trying to contend then he may be shipped for a player (defenseman) who can produce now.

This is sarcasm, right? He played four games in the NHL and didn't look bad while the team was struggling a lot, then was injured, and seven games in the AHL and scored 12 points. What more does he need to do to put together a "decent" showing?
