That was good for a laugh. The Bettman pics are priceless.

I just bought this game for xbox and it is amazing. IT only cost me like 35 bucks Canadian. Its so much cheaper then the EA version, though it is so good. The stick control and dangles in this game are so sick. I love the Intense defense control as well. Its a great game.

how much better than the last one? i havent had a chance to buy the new one yet.
i hope they fix the penalty calling and goalie passing, those things always pissd me off in the last version.

The penalties can be set using the sliders, so you can have slack or very dutiful refereeing. I beleive you can even specify the different types of penalties and how frequently they can be called. The only issue I have with the penalties is they call spearing as a 2 minute minor.

As for goalie passing, I never owned last year's but people who did have said the goalie passing is a lot better and more realistic.

Put it this way Raider Zero. I am an EA fanatic. I have like everyone since 94 for Sega. Now, for the first time, I am finally feeling 2k5. Its real sick. I suggest you rent it first. I didnt really like it right away, but once you get used to the controls, you realize you can do so much more with your players. I havent play EA 2005 yet, im sure its good. But for the cost difference, I cant see EA being much better, if better at all.

I have both Ea's NHL 2005 (PC) and NHL 2K5 (Playstation), Personally I prefer NHL 2005 because of the graphics and the realistic game play you get compared to NHL 2k5.

You sure you're playing EA NHL 2005?

Realistic graphics? Check

Realistic gameplay? Er,

I don't wanna jump down anybodys throat, but it seems that EA removed all the redeeming qualities that NHL 2004, and simply sped it up a bit. I did a complete review on another site and EA really took a step backwards this year when it comes to realism.

Ah well, as long as you enjoy it.
