i didn't like how ruff put stafford on a coming back from injury line. He did however come inches from scoring a goal.

Yeah, he's good at that.

I remember game 6 against Philly when he almost scored a goal and knocked the Flyers out of the playoffs.

He's done that a few games in a row but hasn't scored.

He's paid to score goals, not to come close to scoring them.

I had imagined the game going differently. We played right into the hands of pat lafontaine's Islanders. The structure was to benefit each player and i thought that we were unable to get two lines going for most of the game. It became a battle of top lines. Stafford should be trying to play a game that is completely different then the one gaustad is playing. I thought that since adam has experience centering vanek, he would have been a better option with roy then gerbe.

Total sense, they thought enough of him to get a letter. He needs to be better, a lot better to justify his contract, as well as the letter.

Or he needs to be gone.
